Chapter 203: Preparations Before the Next Livestream

~9 min read 1,709 words

After passing through the initial nervousness, Qin Yun gradually relaxed.

He could feel that Su Huan's parents genuinely liked him; there was none of the Diaonan he'd imagined, and not a single word about his second marriage.

Throughout, everything was warm and harmonious, filled with blessings for their future.

Qin Yun silently sighed—this was what a normal family felt like. What kind of hellish life had he lived before? He treated others as treasures, but they didn't see him that way.

During dinner, Su Huan's mother kept piling food onto his plate; the affection in her eyes wrapped Qin Yun in pure happiness. Perhaps this was how Su Huan felt when she was at his place too.

After dinner, everyone went downstairs for a stroll in the neighborhood.

Su's father walked at the back because he smoked, so Qin Yun slowed down to keep him company.

"Xiao Qin, you don't smoke, right?"

"Yeah, Uncle, I don't smoke."

"Good," Su Changhe sighed. "Your aunt keeps urging me to quit, but I quit for a while every year, then start again—year after year, it's hard."

Qin Yun smiled but didn't agree: "Young people today are smoking less—not just because the smell is unpleasant, but because there's no real benefit. It's not just cigarettes; fewer young people drink alcohol too."

"True, healthy habits should definitely be encouraged," Su Changhe agreed. "By the way, Xiao Qin, are you planning to settle in Hangzhou?"

Qin Yun realized Su Huan hadn't told her parents about buying the house.

"Yeah, for now we'll stay in Hangzhou since the company's there," Qin Yun said—he didn't care where he lived. "We'll see what Su Huan wants later. My job doesn't require me to settle anywhere in particular."

"Still, it's better to be in a more developed place."

They chatted casually—Qin Yun told stories from his livestreams, Su Changhe shared student issues; there was always something to talk about.

Watching the two most important men in her life chatting with smiles, Su Huan couldn't help wrapping her arms around her mother's.

"Mom, I'm so happy."

Hu Fen, seeing her daughter's radiant joy, sighed: "I thought you'd never marry until you were thirty-eight. I didn't expect it to happen so fast—before I knew it, you're in love. Even though your classmates and sisters are all married, twenty-eight isn't late."

"Mom!"

Su Huan was speechless—she'd ruined the mood.

"You know, Xiao Qin is good, but life is mutual—you must learn to accept each other's flaws, don't be selfish, okay?"

"Love wears thin. Look at what happened to Xiao Qin."

Su Huan listened but didn't mind—she was nothing like Song Ya, that foolish woman who didn't know how to love. And thank goodness she was like that, or else how could Su Huan have gotten him back?

"Also, I'm not joking—you two should get married soon. You're not a girl in her twenties anymore; after thirty, childbirth becomes high-risk."

Su Huan rolled her eyes, utterly defeated by her mother's thinking.

In Chengde, Qin Yun stayed six days, meeting every relative inside and out—effectively introducing him to the entire family.

Then in Zhoushan, another round. By the time everything ended, it was the thirteenth of the lunar month.

"Mom, Su Huan and I decided we'll return to Hangzhou on the sixteenth."

Hu Fen nodded, a flicker of worry in her eyes: "Alright, you're going to livestream again? Don't you want more rest?"

"I'll rest another half-month or so—probably start livestreaming in mid-March."

Qin Yun had settled on this plan for now; since he'd be heading to the open ocean, he needed to carefully plan the location, how to livestream, and what content to show.

Timing was critical due to location, and he needed to plan ahead for drones, batteries, everything.

"I won't pry into your work—just stay safe."

"I know, Mom, don't worry."

In the blink of an eye, the Lantern Festival passed, and the New Year's atmosphere faded.

People returned to work; others headed far away to find jobs.

Qin Yun's car was packed with fresh seafood, carrying his mother's lingering affection and blessings as they set off for Hangzhou.

"Will this livestream have sponsorships?" Su Huan asked.

Qin Yun thought: "DJI, Red Bull, Casio—contact a few more. Since we're simulating a plane crash, I can carry other gear: food, clothing, that sort of thing."

Su Huan noted it down: "Got it. With your current fame, we can raise the price. Logo exposure deals can go up to fifty, and if you mention them, we can negotiate more."

"You decide," Qin Yun said. His success came from the system, but without Su Huan's help in business, he'd have stumbled through countless detours—maybe even been scammed.

Sometimes fate is strange—destined unions always find their way back to their rightful place.

The drive from Zhoushan to Hangzhou wasn't far—three and a half hours—and they didn't stop once, driving straight home.

Qin Yun made five or six trips up and down, finally stowing everything from the trunk into the fridge.

"You worked hard—have some fruit."

Qin Yun took the fruit bowl, placed it on the table, then pulled Su Huan into his arms. Before she could cry out, he kissed her—greedily sucking, and she, startled at first, soon melted into it, wrapping her arms around his neck and responding fiercely.

The kiss lasted minutes, leaving Su Huan's hair disheveled and her cheeks flushed.

"You're annoying—so sudden, you scared me!"

Qin Yun grinned: "Can't help it. Seeing you makes me want to kiss you."

The sudden endearment made Su Huan's heart flutter, but since it was still daytime, she held back.

"I'll prepare lunch."

Watching the flustered woman hurry off, Qin Yun smiled silently.

"DJI sent over the drones: one latest-model AI main drone capable of streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously, no firewall issues; one auxiliary drone; and one action camera. Besides the main drone, the other two also have built-in AI."

Su Huan read aloud from DJI's email list.

"And batteries—equipped with CATL high-energy solid-state batteries, no need to remove them; fully charged, they last sixteen hours. The built-in solar charging dock recharges quickly—half an hour to full—so you won't have to worry about power."

DJI's tech was truly impressive, and so was CATL's battery—now that solid-state batteries existed, power was no longer his concern.

"Also, a new Casio smartwatch, waterproof up to two hundred meters. The Snickers bars are the same as last time on Qixing Mountain—just remember to take them out and eat. We negotiated a Phoenix flashlight with built-in energy storage—it charges automatically during the day and lasts all night."

"Finally, a SOG survival knife and Red Bull—Red Bull provided bottled drinks, as you requested. That's all: six brands, total price 3. 2 million."

Qin Yun nodded and smiled: "Huanhuan, you're amazing."

Su Huan shivered, blushing: "Can you stop calling me that? It feels weird."

"Didn't you love hearing it last night?"

"Don't you dare bring that up again!"

"Alright, alright, I won't," Qin Yun begged. "But calling you by your full name feels off too."

"Why's that bad?" Su Huan pouted, then whispered, "Just call me Xiao Huan."

"Fine, Xiao Huan it is," Qin Yun grinned triumphantly. "Now, let's pick the livestream location—where in the open ocean would be best?"

Su Huan clicked on her laptop, revealing a dynamic world map.

"It's late winter in the Northern Hemisphere. To simulate a plane crash survival, you should be in the Southern Hemisphere." She pointed to two oceans. "Either the Indian Ocean or the Pacific."

"In the Indian Ocean, you could land in the Maldives first, then head to your target. In the Pacific, you could land directly in Hawaii, then proceed."

Qin Yun nodded—Su Huan had done thorough work.

"Which do you think is better?"

Su Huan looked at him and smiled: "My advice is the Pacific—though for ordinary people, there's little difference, for you, the Pacific is safer. But I suspect you'd prefer the Indian Ocean?"

"You really know me."

Qin Yun didn't need to maximize danger—he was bound by the system.

Two days ago, the system suddenly issued a new check-in task—the first one not tied to his physical location.

【Check-in Task Released: Host must travel to the Indian Ocean, parachute to a designated sea marker, simulate a plane crash survivor, survive nine days to complete the task.】

A flicker of worry crossed Su Huan's eyes; she bit her lip but said nothing.

Qin Yun hugged her from behind, whispering softly into her ear: "Don't worry—the ocean's dangers are even less than Yaomei Peak. Nothing will happen."

"Mm," Su Huan gripped his hand. "Safety first. I'll go with you."

"Of course—I want to see you first after the livestream. Then we'll have a great time in the Maldives."

"Promise?"

"I, Qin Ye, speak once—four horses can't catch my word."

"You're annoying—where are you touching?"

The room filled with springtime warmth, the beauty's soft breath stirring his heart.

After all preliminary preparations were done, Qin Yun posted livestream announcements on Douyin, TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube.

【March 15, 9: 0 AM, over the Indian Ocean: Simulated plane crash. Nine-day survival challenge—how to survive in an endless ocean. Live-streamed simultaneously on Douyin, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch. Stay tuned!】

The announcement instantly ignited fans at home and abroad.

As his wilderness survival content spread, his foreign follower count grew daily.

On TikTok and YouTube, Su Huan had synced all his videos to those accounts—both now had over ten million followers; with the survival series gaining traction, surpassing one hundred million on both platforms was certain.

Hype fades fast—if the wilderness survival trend dies, people will forget.

But if Qin Yun maintains it, the hype becomes real data and real money.

"Finally! I've been waiting so long for Qin to livestream again."

"The amazing Chinese man. The amazing livestream."

"OMG, simulated plane crash—so thrilling!"

"Unbelievable—surviving nine days in the Indian Ocean? How?"

"Qin Ye is awesome—but seriously, 'precisely scheduled plane crash'? Hahaha."

"666—this was our chosen content! Can't wait!"

"Go Qin Ye, shock these foreigners!"

After posting the livestream announcement, Qin Yun and Su Huan began processing visas and preparing to depart for the Maldives—where they'd need to arrange helicopter rentals, test equipment, and complete other preparations.

Although it's only the 8th, time is already quite tight.
