Chapter 224

~10 min read 1,936 words

Qin Yun's precision skydiving is incredible, pushing human limits, but he doesn't even have an A license—he's fundamentally, utterly a beginner.

This Red Bull event strictly follows USPA standards; the basic requirement to participate is a C license. So if he wants to join, he must obtain that certification first.

They arrived at Jiande Aviation Town at six in the afternoon.

Surrounded by Qingshan and lake waters, the air blended grass, lake dampness, faint aviation fuel, and a hint of coffee scent. The entire aviation town nestled in a mountain hollow of Shouchang Town, embraced by endless ranges, its scenery remarkably beautiful.

After parking the car at the hotel's parking spot, the two noticed a crowd gathered in the lobby, bustling and lively. Most were young people, very few elderly, each brimming with energy.

Qin Yun and Su Huan checked in and planned to register the next day.

After getting an introduction form from the front desk, he turned and immediately spotted two young men approaching Su Huan.

"Hi, beautiful, I'm Zhang Xiaofan. Can we get to know each other? Add me on WeChat?"

Zhang Xiaofan had just been chatting with a friend, but when he suddenly saw Su Huan, his eyes lit up instantly.

She was simply too beautiful—perfectly aligned with his ideal, and he felt he'd seen her somewhere before.

Unable to suppress his inner excitement, he walked over immediately—only to find he wasn't the only one with that thought.

"Hi, beautiful, I'm Cheng Yue. Are you here to register for the skydiving exam too?"

As he spoke, he glanced at Zhang Xiaofan, signaling fair competition.

Su Huan looked at the two young men—both barely in their early twenties. Such behavior around a beautiful woman was perfectly normal; she noticed many others nearby also looked eager to try.

She smiled, and that smile made her even more stunning.

"Sorry, I'm here to register with my boyfriend."

They both saw it, but their youthful restlessness made them choose to ignore it.

Qin Yun pressed down his hat brim, walked over, and slipped an arm around Su Huan, glancing at the two through his sunglasses. His towering frame, muscular build, and invisible aura instantly made Zhang Xiaofan and Cheng Yue gasp for breath.

But the next moment, Zhang Xiaofan suddenly had a flash of insight and blurted out.

"Master Qin!?"

At that exclamation, the entire hotel lobby fell utterly silent, every eye snapping toward them.

Zhang Xiaofan's expression exploded with excitement—he finally understood why Su Huan looked so familiar; he'd seen her in Qin Yun's livestream. And as for the man beside her? Need he ask?

"Are you Master Qin?"

Cheng Yue looked from Zhang Xiaofan to Qin Yun, utterly flustered.

"Master Qin? What Master Qin?" From another corner of the lobby, people immediately surged forward.

Qin Yun smiled, removed his sunglasses, revealing his face. Those who gathered instantly erupted in exclamations, faces alight with excitement.

"Holy shit, it's really Master Qin."

"Master Qin, what are you doing here?"

"666, Master Qin, I'm your fan."

"Damn, I'm seeing a live Master Qin."

Zhang Xiaofan clearly saw Qin Yun's face and felt utterly mortified. Shit, I just hit on Master Qin's girlfriend—will he kill me? Online, waiting, urgent.

Qin Yun waved and smiled: "Hello everyone, are you all here to register for the skydiving exam?"

"Yes, yes, Master Qin, I'm here to take the A license."

"Master Qin, what are you here for?"

"You're not here to take the exam too, are you?"

Qin Yun nodded: "I'm here to take the exam too, because I plan to sign up for the first Red Bull Extreme Precision Skydiving Championship."

"The first Red Bull Extreme Precision Skydiving Championship? What's that?"

"I don't know."

"Holy hell, Red Bull Extreme? Sponsored by Red Bull?"

Seeing they had no idea, Qin Yun gave a website: "You can check the official site, but participating requires a C license."

"Whoa, C license? I don't even have an A license."

"International event—don't even think about it."

"666, Master Qin, will you livestream it?"

"We'll see." Qin Yun doubted it—he assumed Red Bull would handle the broadcast themselves—but maybe not, he'd decide later.

As the crowd surrounded Qin Yun, asking question after question, the hotel door opened and several figures entered one after another.

They paused, startled by the scene inside, but paid no attention to the crowd, heading straight to the front desk to check in.

"Master Qin, they're from Changkong Club—the top skydiving club in China, headquartered in Hangzhou. They're probably here to get certified too."

"I heard everyone in Changkong Club is loaded? Not sure if it's true."

Hearing the murmurs around him, Qin Yun glanced toward the front desk but paid it no further mind.

He was about to bid farewell to the crowd when a voice suddenly rang out from the other side.

"Master Qin!"

Ye Ran had felt the figure looked familiar; when he clearly saw Qin Yun's face, his eyes brightened. He hurried forward two steps, walking toward Qin Yun, and everyone along the way quickly stepped aside.

"Master Qin, hello. I'm Ye Ran, manager of Changkong Club."

Qin Yun reached out and shook his hand, smiling: "Hello, Manager Ye."

"Master Qin, are you here to take the C license?" Ye Ran ventured, sensing something.

"Yes." Qin Yun had guessed: "Are you and your club here to enter the Red Bull Extreme Precision Skydiving Championship?"

"Exactly!"

Ye Ran inwardly cheered and immediately nodded: "Are you planning to enter the competition too?"

"I'm interested. Red Bull invited me, so I came to get certified—will join if things go smoothly, otherwise I'll skip it."

"Hmph, talking big without any basis."

A young man from the Sky Club walked up behind Ye Ran, and upon hearing Qin Yun's words, his face immediately twisted with disdain.

Even the Sky Club couldn't land a Red Bull exclusive invitation—Qin Yun might be awesome in wilderness survival, but skydiving is skydiving, completely different.

"Lu Hao!"

Ye Ran frowned, turned back and glared at him, then awkwardly said to Qin Yun, "Sorry, Qin Ye, the youngster doesn't know the rules."

Qin Yun didn't take it to heart—he wasn't RMB, so not everyone had to like him. He knew full well that during his livestreams, he had countless black fans. Abroad, there was even a group of PETA fanatics ready to kill him at any moment.

"No problem. If there's nothing else, we'll head back to our room." Qin Yun nodded to Ye Ran, then waved at the young men present, and pulled Su Huan upstairs.

The others quickly dispersed, each returning to their own rooms.

Back in the room, Ye Ran complained: "Lu Hao, don't be so arrogant outside. There's always a higher sky and a greater person."

"Hahaha, Sister Ye, Lu Hao's just a newborn calf unafraid of tigers," Ding Shuo laughed, teasing, "but what's Qin Ye's status? If he says it's a Red Bull invitation, it's a Red Bull invitation—why are you doubting it? What about your EQ?"

Lu Hao's face flushed red: "I don't believe Red Bull would invite someone who doesn't even have a C license."

On the other side, You Jundu shook his head and gestured to his phone: "Qin Ye signed an A-level contract with Red Bull. Think before you speak—it's better than anything else."

"A-level contract? Wow, damn, I remember you don't have to do anything, just get half a million dollars a year," Ding Shuo grinned, looking at Lu Hao. "Brother Hao, how much do you make a year?"

Lu Hao opened his mouth but fell silent, more depressed—he wasn't short of money, but not being short of money at home was entirely different from how much he earned himself.

Damn it, after a whole year, including his club salary and bonuses, he only made five hundred thousand—this guy does nothing and still makes five hundred thousand a year. Worse yet, the currency value here has a sevenfold difference—fucking hell.

Ye Ran shook her head, suddenly struck by an idea, but after glancing at the three of them, she suppressed the thought for now.

This club had officially registered for the Red Bull Extreme Precision Skydiving Championship, and only four people qualified—Lu Hao, Ding Shuo, and You Jundu all held only B licenses, so they came here specifically to take the test and experience the event.

But she had reviewed the teams competing in this championship—all were international elites.

Although the Sky Club ranked among the top in China, skydiving itself was rare domestically, and their strength meant nothing on the international stage.

"Forget it, let's see more. If it really works, we'll give it a try later."

Making up her mind silently, she instructed the three to rest well, then left the room.

……

"Pam—!"

"Ugh, the door wasn't even locked, and you're already pawing at me," Su Huan pouted, swatting away his groping hand.

Too bad, Qin Yun persisted relentlessly, and finally seized his target in both hands.

"Hehe, darling, it's getting late. Your husband's hungry—why not let me eat first?"

Su Huan's face flushed crimson—such blatant words from her lover made her whole body burn.

"W-wait…," Su Huan panted, barely breaking free of Qin Yun's grip. "You beast, it's still early—we should sort out the license first."

"Beast?" Qin Yun pressed closer. "If I'm worse than a beast, you're not happy?"

"Who said that? Don't make it sound like I'm…" Ah…

He pushed her onto the bed and pinned her down: "Alright, how about we just stay like this?"

"Then take your hands off first," Su Huan glared at him, yet her eyes were hazy with desire. "You're holding me like this—I can't concentrate."

Qin Yun kissed her lips, then released his grip: "Alright, speak—I'm listening."

Su Huan was furious but helpless. She picked up the introduction form, glanced at it briefly, then frowned.

"Qin Yun, get up—something's wrong."

Qin Yun opened his eyes and sat up: "What's wrong?"

Su Huan pointed at the text on the form: "Look, you can't get a C license directly—you must start with an A license, then B. According to the timeline here, the shortest theoretical time to get a C license is at least three months."

Qin Yun's head throbbed.

"So we came here for nothing?"

Su Huan was also speechless: "Looks like it."

Qin Yun got off the bed, thought for a moment, and called Catherine directly.

After explaining the situation, Catherine exclaimed: "Qin, you've never taken a USPA license?"

Qin Yun smiled awkwardly: "Yeah, never took one—I taught myself."

Catherine said: "Qin, wait a moment."

Then silence came from the other end.

After more than ten minutes, Catherine's voice returned.

"Qin, I just reported your situation to the company. There's a solution."

"What solution?" Qin Yun perked up—if this worked, it'd be perfect; if not, he'd have to give up.

"Get a letter of endorsement from a B-level or higher team—any USPA-certified club will do. Then, even without a license, you're fine."

After hanging up, Qin Yun didn't dwell on it.

"Twenty-two days left until month-end. Let's get a B license first."

As for finding a team to endorse him, Qin Yun had no strong desire—he'd decide when the time came.

"Hmm, the fastest way to get a B license is two weeks—if every jump is perfect."

A B license only requires fifty jumps—no challenge at all for Qin Yun. If he wanted, he could do twenty jumps a day—his superior physical condition could handle it easily.

But that would be too shocking.

Besides, the testing base would never allow it—maximum four or five jumps per day.
