Chapter 288: Save Me (Still Third Chapter)
‘Clang—!’
The loud noise meant the third vehicle was also destroyed.
Soren and the other two, battered and dazed, groaned in pain.
‘FUCK, my arm, my arm’s broken.’ Dalton felt his left arm throbbing unbearably.
Soren’s head was pressed against the roof; now that the car was upside down, he felt his neck might snap.
‘Dalton, Lawrence, are you okay?’
‘My arm… my arm…’ Dalton gasped with every breath.
Lawrence was unharmed, but his shoulder ached fiercely from the impact.
‘I… I’m fine.’
Soren rolled over and sat on the roof, but as soon as he sat down, the SUV suddenly lifted into the air, then crashed back down before he could even scream.
This time, Soren felt his entire skeleton had shattered.
‘It’s over… it’s over…’ Lawrence’s face was scraped raw, blood oozing out.
‘OMG, OMG!’ Dalton prayed to God, filled with unbearable regret over this hunt, ‘We’re… we’re going to die, we’re going to die.’
‘Help! Help!’
Soren peered out the window and saw the giant beast charging toward another vehicle, then leaping down—its one-and-a-half-meter horn piercing straight through the car, then…
‘Ahh…!’
A piercing scream rose, then cut off abruptly.
Soren’s face turned ashen; he saw the black triceratops shake its head, sending the car spinning several times, and a pierced corpse flung out—the body of one of the guides.
A massive gash yawned across its waist, organs spilled everywhere—it was dead beyond doubt.
Seeing this, Soren’s soul nearly fled his body.
‘What do we do? Soren, what do we do?’ Lawrence stammered in terror, ‘We’re dead, we’re dead.’
‘Bang—!’
The terrifying black triceratops, drawn by the scent of blood, suddenly raised its hoof and stomped down hard on the corpse. A three-ton beast, fully charged, made the scene unimaginably grotesque.
‘Squelch—!’ The corpse was crushed into jelly, spraying everywhere; some even splattered onto Soren and the others.
Dalton felt something on his lips; before he could brush it away, it slid down—he looked and nearly fainted: it was an eyeball.
When it appeared several hundred meters away, this was the horrifying scene they saw.
At the moment the triceratops stomped down, he immediately shifted the camera away, avoiding overly graphic imagery.
Even so, the livestream viewers had already glimpsed what was about to happen.
‘Holy shit, terrifying!’
‘Damn, that guy’s dead, right?’
‘Definitely dead.’
‘Total disaster, way too violent.’
‘Qin Ye, get out of there, let them fend for themselves.’
‘Yeah, this kind of beast isn’t something humans can handle.’
Qin Yun watched the scene grimly, listening to the cries for help, and made no move.
As netizens said, this kind of beast was beyond human capability to confront.
He couldn’t handle it either—the gap was too vast; if it charged him directly, death was certain.
But leaving someone to die wasn’t his way.
‘I’ll try using the drone to lure the black triceratops away.’
Qin Yun spoke and controlled the secondary drone to fly out.
As the drone drew closer, viewers saw the scene more clearly—especially the puddle on the ground, which made them feel nauseous, so damn revolting.
The drone’s noise immediately caught the triceratops’s attention; it glared furiously at the device ahead, then charged. Qin Yun swiftly guided the drone forward, matching the beast’s speed, just enough to keep it from catching up.
When the triceratops had run about a kilometer away, Qin Yun sprinted down, first reaching the nearest SUV—the black driver inside had fainted.
Luckily, the door still opened; he pulled the man out, checked his breath, confirmed he was still alive, then ran toward Soren’s SUV.
‘Help! Help!’
Hearing the cries from inside, Qin Yun quickly slapped the vehicle.
‘Shut up!’
‘…’
Soren turned and met Qin Yun’s gaze—he burst into tears of relief.
‘Qin, Qin, save us!’
Lawrence and Dalton also felt like they’d found salvation, overwhelmed with emotion.
Qin Yun ignored them; just being alive was already their luck.
He tugged at the door—it was jammed shut. He grabbed a rock from the side and smashed away the shattered glass edges.
‘Get out quickly!’
As he spoke, he glanced at the main monitor—the black triceratops had stopped. It roared angrily at the drone, then turned and sprinted back, no matter how the drone tried to taunt it.
‘Qin, I can’t move—my foot’s stuck.’
Soren hadn’t noticed at first, but when he tried to shift, he realized his left leg was pinned deep in the crumpled metal—he was terrified, his soul nearly gone.
Qin Yun frowned, grabbed Lawrence’s arm, dragged him out, then pulled out Dalton. But Dalton’s broken arm bled profusely, twisted unnaturally backward, bones visible, his face deathly pale.
He glanced once—he knew this required hospital treatment; otherwise, permanent damage was inevitable.
He pointed toward where he’d come from: ‘Take him, run that way—hurry.’
Dalton’s scalp prickled with pain—he could only rely on Lawrence. Though trembling, Lawrence quickly hoisted the guide and ran with Dalton toward Qin Yun’s direction.
As for Soren!
Qin Yun checked—he found Soren’s left leg was firmly pinned; he had to pry open the depression first.
‘Soren, do you have any iron rods or something similar?’
Soren’s lips trembled: ‘Yes, yes—in the trunk, there’s a crowbar.’
Qin Yun immediately opened the trunk and found the crowbar quickly.
‘Holy shit, Qin Ye, hurry—the triceratops is coming back!’
‘Fucking nerve-wracking!’
‘How far? We need to move faster!’
Qin Yun kept watching the secondary drone’s feed—the ground was already trembling.
He jammed the crowbar into the depression, turned back—and saw the terrifying black triceratops with his own eyes, head lowered, charging toward them, more menacing than a tank.
Soren saw it too.
He screamed frantically: ‘Qin, hurry, hurry!’
Qin Yun didn’t panic. He jammed the crowbar deep, then surged with force—the depression instantly pried open.
‘Pull your leg out now!’
Soren retracted his left leg swiftly, freeing it from the depression; Qin Yun grabbed his arm and yanked him out, then rolled sideways with him.
‘Boom—!’
A terrifying impact struck from the side—the sound of a three-ton giant smashing into the SUV, terrifyingly close.
‘Holy mother, so intense!’
‘Too terrifying—if it hit a person, they’d be crushed to pulp instantly.’
‘Qin Ye is so calm.’
Qin Yun grabbed Soren, stood up, and sprinted away.
Soren was a sturdy young man over 1.8 meters tall, but in Qin Yun’s grip, he felt as light as cotton—like a baby cradled in his father’s arms again.
Soren turned back—he saw the black triceratops step back, then spin around and charge straight toward Qin Yun.
Qin Yun was fast, but compared to the triceratops’s sprint, it wasn’t enough—ten meters vanished in a blink.
‘Run that way—I’ll lure the triceratops away.’
Qin Yun flung Soren to the left, then stopped dead, bouncing up and down to draw the beast’s gaze.
As expected, the triceratops ignored Soren—its eyes locked solely on Qin Yun.
As it neared, Qin Yun exploded off his right foot, leaping upward—barely evading the charge.
He then sprinted backward—the triceratops instantly turned and charged after him, determined to crush him.
Far away, Soren didn’t hesitate—he ran. If even Qin Yun couldn’t handle it, his own presence would only mean death. Better to follow Qin Yun’s orders and flee.
