Chapter 323: Getting the Certificate and Going to Watch the Singer

~8 min read 1,506 words

After finishing the preliminary preparations, Qin Yun pulled the five into a group chat and gave them a brief explanation.

The five all replied that they had no issues and would absolutely not quit midway.

Qin Yun didn't take it to heart—he knew once the live broadcast started, they'd realize abandoning wasn't something willpower alone could overcome; he understood clearly that humans had limits, and not everyone was as terrifyingly strong as he was.

Even if they underwent intensive training later, it would only improve their basic knowledge; there was no way their physical fitness could improve significantly in such a short time.

"June 6th is a great date—that's the day after tomorrow—you can go get your marriage certificate."

Hu Fen called Su Huan.

"Okay, Auntie," Su Huan smiled sweetly and nodded. "Then we'll go the day after tomorrow."

"Good, don't forget to tell your parents—it's a big deal."

After hanging up, Su Huan called her parents to inform them of the date for the certificate; they naturally had no objections to the in-laws' chosen date.

"Your dad even wanted to take leave to come to Hangzhou early, haha."

"Then come! I miss you too."

"School doesn't make it easy to take leave," Su Huan's mother laughed. "Alright, as soon as you get the certificate, send me a photo."

"Mm-hmm!"

Before Su Huan hung up, her parents' voices drifted faintly from afar.

"Huanhuan finally got married…"

Though quiet, the words were unmistakable in the room; Qin Yun froze, then burst out laughing.

"Hahahahahaha!"

Su Huan couldn't face anyone—she lunged at Qin Yun and bit him randomly. "Don't laugh, don't laugh!"

Qin Yun dodged while saying, "So your parents were really afraid you'd never get married? Our class president has her own hard-to-solve problem too."

"Ugh!" Su Huan punched Qin Yun, completely broken by her mother's final remark. "Who's worried about not getting married? Men chasing me could line up to Tiananmen—you're just the lucky one who got picked!"

"Fine, fine, I got lucky, it's my fortune—stop hitting me, you're about to kill your husband."

As they wrestled, they unknowingly rolled together onto the sofa.

Su Huan curled up in Qin Yun's arms, one hand stroking her belly. "When do you think we should get married? Won't it be too late if the baby bump shows too much?"

Qin Yun had considered this—he knew that in three or four months, Su Huan's belly would be clearly visible, but he had no time right now.

Waiting until after the baby was born might be acceptable in modern times, but it would still have some impact.

After thinking, he said, "How about we hold the wedding right after my live stream ends?"

Su Huan snapped her head up, eyes sparkling with surprise. "Really?"

Qin Yun nodded firmly. "Mm. What do you think?"

"Mu~a!" Su Huan kissed Qin Yun's lips hard, her voice brimming with joy. "Then I'll start preparing!"

"I need to…"

Su Huan interrupted: "No need—you just contact the people you want to invite. Everything else is my job."

"Are you sure? There's so much to handle," Qin Yun said—he'd been through marriage before and knew how much pre-wedding preparation there was.

"Relax, Young Lady enjoys this—just leave it to me."

Since Su Huan said so, Qin Yun was perfectly happy to let her handle it.

Two days later, the two went to the Minzheng Bureau and got their marriage certificate, but told no one except their families.

"I just glanced at the photo on the couple ahead of us's certificate—thank goodness it was our own photo, or it would've been terrible."

Su Huan was still shaken.

The official wedding photo taken on-site was utterly unbearable; even if it was slightly better than an ID photo, it wasn't much better.

No wonder the government lifted the restriction and now allows couples to submit their own photos—they clearly considered this issue.

Qin Yun wrapped his arm around Su Huan's waist, his emotions complicated.

He'd filed for divorce last July; over a full year had passed, and now he'd begun a new marriage. Though they'd only been dating for just over a year, the sense of familiarity felt as if they'd been together for many years.

Looking at the smile of the woman beside him, Qin Yun silently vowed to treat her well this lifetime, to give her the best, and never let her feel sorrow.

"Husband!"

"Mm."

"Husband!"

"Hmm?"

"Husband!"

"…."

Qin Yun was speechless.

"Hehe, now it's legally valid to call you that."

Qin Yun was torn between laughter and exasperation.

They got in the car; as soon as it started moving, a WeChat message popped up.

"Master Qin, Zhejiang TV's 'You Are a Singer' has a new recording the day after tomorrow. As the challenger singer, I can invite supporters—I'd like to invite you and Sister-in-law to watch the performance."

Qin Yun showed the message to Su Huan.

"It's from Qin Yuwén. She's inviting us to the 8th—interested?"

"'You Are a Singer'? I remember this season has Teacher Li Jian, but I've never watched it—I've never seen a live performance before."

Seeing Su Huan was interested, Qin Yun said, "Then I'll accept?"

He replied to Qin Yuwén: "Sure."

Qin Yuwén held her phone, waiting for a reply; when she saw "typing…" appear, she felt nervous, fearing Qin Yun would refuse outright.

But when she saw the two characters "Sure," she instantly sighed in relief.

She quickly replied: "Mm-hmm, I'll have the TV station reserve the two best seats for you; I'll send you the address soon."

To Qin Yun, this was just a minor incident.

After speaking, Qin Yuwén immediately ran to Liu Jiahui's office and told her about inviting Qin Yun and Su Huan to watch the performance.

After listening, Liu Jiahui nodded: "Good job, Yuwén. I'll contact the TV station right away."

She contacted Jiang Tao, the director of "You Are a Singer."

"Director Jiang, this is Liu Jiahui from Xing Mang."

"Oh, it's Director Liu, hello, hello. What can I do for you?"

Liu Jiahui, unfamiliar with him, got straight to the point: "Director Jiang, in a couple of days, Qin Yuwén will be appearing on 'You Are a Singer.' She invited two fans to attend—could you spare two seats?"

Upon hearing this, Jiang Tao immediately frowned.

Xing Mang Entertainment was just a small company in Hangzhou—he'd never heard of it. They'd probably spent countless yuan just to get a spot as a challenger. If it were a well-known singer, he'd have agreed immediately, but just a debutant… still, he wouldn't refuse.

After all, she'd now attached herself to Qin Yun and was about to join his livestream—her popularity and traffic were currently sky-high.

Thinking this, he chuckled: "Of course no problem, Director Liu. It's just a small thing—I'll reserve two seats for your company right away. But you know, our audience seats are in high demand; I can't guarantee they'll be in the front rows."

Liu Jiahui had no objections: "Thank you so much, Director Jiang. I'm truly sorry to trouble you—Yuwén invited Qin Ye and his wife without my permission, so I'm only calling you out of sheer necessity."

Jiang Tao's eyes lit up. As a variety show director, what mattered most?

Instinct!

He asked cautiously: "Director Liu, the Qin Ye you mentioned—could it be Qin Yun, the Qin Ye?"

Liu Jiahui nodded: "Do you watch Qin Ye's livestreams too? Yes, that's him."

In an instant, Jiang Tao's mind flooded with ideas on how to ride the trend. He said: "If it were someone else, it'd be tricky—but since it's Qin Ye, I'll squeeze out two seats even if I have to push people out of the prime viewing area."

"Director Jiang, no need to go to such trouble."

"Yes, yes—I'll arrange it right away."

He hung up quickly and immediately went to call a meeting.

……

Zhejiang International Film & Television Center.

A BMW SUV slowed to a stop in a parking spot, and two handsome man and beautiful woman stepped out.

Staff waiting at the entrance immediately brightened and rushed over.

"Qin Ye, Su Zong, hello! I'm Guo Ying, the producer from the TV station. Director Jiang sent me to meet you." Guo Ying's face beamed with warmth and excitement.

"Hello, hello, thank you for your trouble," Qin Yun said, wearing a hat and sunglasses—most people wouldn't recognize him.

Guo Ying seemed excited, her gaze fixed on Qin Yun.

Only by seeing him in person could one feel the pressure he exuded—like a crouching beast. Merely standing beside him made Guo Ying's skin prickle.

"No trouble at all, Qin Ye, Su Zong, this way!"

Guo Ying stepped aside to lead them through a private corridor into the building.

Along the way, crew members and cameramen passed by; many glanced only at Su Huan, for her temperament, beauty, and figure were exceptional—they assumed a major star had arrived.

But upon closer look, none recognized her.

As the group passed through the waiting corridor, they met Li Jian—the star Su Huan admired.
