Chapter 248: Shedding Fur!
The wind and snow outside the cave continued, but Yuan Lang's gaze toward the female beside him grew ever deeper and more profound.
A fervent emotion surged in his eyes, making his already deep gaze grow even darker; the Beastfolk who had been utterly languid a moment ago now exuded a distinctly dangerous aura all around him.
Moments later, his huge tiger head shot up, gazing at the deep-blue salt-crystal wall behind the female; a somewhat suppressed, heavy breathing echoed unusually alluring in this pitch-black cave.
Here, aside from the sleeping Wu Yue, there was only a group of Beastman Warriors resembling dead pigs.
Suppressing the urge to rise, the Beastfolk stared hatefully at Wu Yue's pale, thin little face for a long while, then, gritting his teeth, he moved the pair of feet that had been rubbing against some part of his body onto his own belly.
Moments later, the little female merely smacked her lips, yet did not change her posture again; only then did Yuan Lang let out a deep sigh.
Perhaps because she had gone to bed early the previous night, Wu Yue actually woke up before dawn, a rare occurrence.
The warm sensation all over made her unconsciously rub against the fluffy tiger claw in her arms, and suddenly she thought of her own little kitten.
No!!!
Her rubbing motion suddenly halted, her face somewhat stiff as she followed the fluffy claw upward; her surprised eyes instantly met a pair of deep, dark pupils.
"How does it feel? Is it comfortable?"
Wu Yue gave an embarrassed dry laugh twice, glanced at the slightly disheveled fur on the tiger claw in her hand, and very obsequiously smoothed it out carefully.
"Hehe, this is fine now; the feel must be top-notch—nothing beats it, not even those who've taken nutrient paste."
Yuan Lang stood up and shook the fur off his body.
Instantly, several snow-white tiger hairs fluttered down, a few of them landing on Wu Yue's arm.
Wu Yue amusedly looked at the Da Nao Fu who had just risen beside her: "Yuan Lang, you're shedding fur."
Hearing this, the Beastfolk turned his huge tiger head toward her, his deep tiger eyes gazing at a certain mischievous little female: "Only the side near you has shed."
After saying that, he remained leisurely squatting to one side, interested in seeing the little female's reaction.
Wu Yue's face stiffened; instantly she felt the few tiger hairs in her hand somewhat hot: "Actually, shedding a bit is still good—it shows these hairs are old, and the new ones will be shinier and smoother."
A flicker of smile passed through Yuan Lang's eyes; the little female had plenty of excuses—clearly she had torn them out while sleeping restlessly last night, yet she pretended they fell off naturally.
The guilty little female picked up the Beastfolk's shed hairs scattered around, wrapped them between her two hands, and began to roll them gently.
Moments later, a white fur ball the size of a fingernail cap appeared in her hand, sparkling white and extremely lovely.
She handed the fur ball to the Beastfolk before her: "This is made from your fur; I've heard cats love to play with balls, and you big cats are probably no different."
Yuan Lang looked at the white fur ball before him, not even as big as one of Teng Qian's nostrils, and wore a helpless expression.
Just as he was about to say something, he inadvertently caught sight of a mark on the little female's shoulder; his gaze flickered, he rose to his feet, shifted into Beastfolk form, took the fur ball from her hand, and turned to leave.
"I'll go check on the clan's patrol situation."
But before he could take a step, a doubtful voice came from behind the little female: "Huh? Am I injured?"
On her left shoulder were several bluish-purple marks, looking particularly conspicuous.
