Chapter 3174

The procedure for the memorial service was very simple and short, lasting about an hour. Zhao Desan didn't take this opportunity to get to know any other leaders because the process was too short. He followed Sister Wu everywhere and had no chance to talk to others. Moreover, seeing that there were not many cars in the courtyard in front of the mourning hall, he knew that the leaders who came to attend the memorial service probably didn't have any particularly high rank.

But fortunately, after attending the memorial service, Sister Wu asked him to drive her to He Fengnian's side. When it was time for lunch, the member of the city committee and Minister of the Organization Department, He Fengnian, arranged all the colleagues who came to pay New Year's greetings to his mother to the City Committee's Second Reception, which was the Jianguo Hotel. It was originally called the City Committee's Second Reception, but later, after the new City Committee Secretary took office, it was renamed the Jianguo Hotel. In addition to entertaining city committee official activities, it also entertained guests and merchants coming to Xijing.

Zhao Desan and several other people he didn't know were arranged at one table. During the meal, several people chatted and exchanged greetings, asking each other, and got to know each other. Zhao Desan only then learned that the person at his table was actually Qiu Qiming, the captain of the criminal police team of the Xijing City Bureau. During the meal, when it was time for free combination and mutual toasting, this Qiu Qiming didn't look for anyone else, but walked to Zhao Desan's side with a glass of wine, patted Zhao Desan on the shoulder lightly, and said with a smile, "Director Liu, nice to meet you for the first time. I've long admired your name. I'll toast you a glass."

Long admired my name? Zhao Desan couldn't help but be stunned, thinking, is my fame very big? However, seeing that Qiu Qiming's glass was already raised, he didn't think much and hurriedly picked up his glass, laughing and saying, "Captain Qiu, nice to meet you, nice to meet you."

The two laughed 'hehe,' tilted their heads back, and drank the glass of wine in one gulp. After toasting Zhao Desan, Qiu Qiming greeted Zhao Desan with a smile, saying, "Director Liu, eat, eat more."
