Chapter 4729

Deputy Mayor Tang had worked in the city for many years and had reached the position of Deputy Mayor, but he couldn't go any higher. For these years, he had been trying every possible way to enter the ranks of the municipal standing committee, but due to various reasons, he had never been able to achieve it. As the person in charge of the entire urban construction work in Xijing City, he had only gradually seen some hope in the past two years because the development momentum of Chanba District under Wu Min's leadership had been very good, especially the urban construction work, which was done with great vigor and was flourishing. In particular, the ecological tourism city project in Chanba District had become a pearl of Xijing City, which was also Wu Min's masterpiece. In Deputy Mayor Tang's view, if Chanba District could be carried forward and reach a higher level in his hands, it would be a significant addition to his urban construction performance report.

Although Deputy Mayor Tang had always been at odds with Zhao Desan, he knew well that Chanba District's achievements today were inseparable from Zhao Desan's efforts over the past few years. This time, when the district leadership changed, the municipal committee not only approved the district committee's proposal to add Zhao Desan as a standing committee member but also temporarily appointed him as the acting district head. Deputy Mayor Tang, who had been struggling in officialdom for decades, immediately keenly felt that there was something to be done here, so he decided to turn hostility into friendship, bring the staff of the municipal government office, and pack some consolation gifts to pay an early New Year's visit to the cadres of the district government, handling his relationship with Zhao Desan well, which could also be considered as earning some political achievements for himself.

The reason he chose to come down to inspect the work on this day was also carefully prepared by Deputy Mayor Tang. He let his people in the district government find out that the district government had actually gone on holiday early, leaving only a few people to work, and felt that the opportunity had come. Only by grasping the other party's mistakes could he, on one hand, give a warning, and on the other hand, use the "carrot" to win them over. Deputy Mayor Tang was quite confident about this. In his view, Zhao Desan was just a young man in his early thirties, and he was still far behind in the ways of officialdom.

The car arrived with a swoosh. Zhao Desan, who had been notified, ran over quickly, opened the back door of the Audi, put one hand on the door, and said to Deputy Mayor Tang with a smile, "Welcome Deputy Mayor Tang and all the leaders to Chanba District to inspect the work."

Deputy Mayor Tang got out of the car, shook hands with Zhao Desan, and said with a smile, "It can't be called an inspection. It's just that the New Year is coming, so I represent the municipal government to come and see everyone and pay an early New Year's visit. Xiao Zhao, you won't blame me for coming without notice, will you?"

"Not at all, not at all. I was hoping for the city leaders to come and inspect. This shows Deputy Mayor Tang's concern and support for our Chanba District." Zhao Desan was also extremely eloquent in dealing with it.
