Chapter 4964

Upon hearing Zhao Desan's counter-question, Gao Haiping immediately realized that he was pushing the responsibility onto him, so he hurriedly said: "The Land Bureau stopped the listing, I... how could I have a way?"

"I don't have any way either. The land isn't listed, which means it's impossible to transfer it," Zhao Desan exhaled a puff of smoke and looked at Gao Haiping with feigned helplessness.

"I heard that our district government specifically held a meeting to discuss this land a couple of days ago?" Gao Haiping asked tentatively.

Zhao Desan looked at Gao Haiping quietly. He didn't hide it either, nodded, and said: "That's right, we held a meeting to discuss it. My idea was that it wouldn't be bad to use that land to build a high-end residential area, but the other leaders' meaning was to keep it for a river view project. Following the principle of the minority obeying the majority, this land has been shelved for the time being. You go back and explain to President Zhang that I can't help him with this matter now. When there are other good plots of land listed for transfer in the district, I'll think of a way to help him then!"

"President Zhang has already spent several million to get this land. Now that he can't get it, I really don't know what to say on my end," Gao Haiping said, looking at Zhao Desan with difficulty.

"Hehe, now that the land is shelved, does President Zhang have any way to make it listed for transfer again?" Zhao Desan smiled coldly and continued: "You don't need to be afraid of offending President Zhang. After all, we did put in effort on this matter. I can only say this much. As for explaining to President Zhang later, you can handle it yourself!"
