Chapter 908: Self-preservation

"You fool, no matter where you are, you must learn the principle of self-preservation. In everything, you must never go against the leader. Just do whatever the leader says. Follow the crowd. This society is like this, and the whole official atmosphere is like this. Which leader doesn't want their subordinates to be obedient? Don't you understand the principle that the gun hits the bird that sticks out? Officialdom is very deep. You have to throw stones to ask the way and cross the river by feeling the stones. I don't understand the affairs of your Coal Bureau, but I know that the economic pillar of Yuyang City is the coal industry. The restructuring must be no small matter, affecting the whole body. You still dare to be at loggerheads with the leader on such a big matter. Your brain is really stubborn. But I see you are learning quite fast. You are quite slick in the unit now."

Su Qing always said some of her own experience intentionally or unintentionally, allowing Zhao Desan to learn a lot of official survival rules unintentionally, feeling like a head-on blow, benefiting a lot, and laughing, "Isn't this what you taught me, Sister Su?"

Su Qing smiled, "The water in officialdom is very deep. There isn't much I can explain to you clearly. Many things still need to be understood by yourself slowly. But remember one sentence: in everything, you must be consistent with the leader's ideas. Try not to get any responsibility on yourself. The more things you do, the more scolding you get. People who don't do things never have responsibility."

Zhao Desan nodded, carrying big and small bags while following Su Qing forward, and considering Su Qing's words. Thinking about it, it was indeed the case. Take the example around him, Xia Xia Jian in his department, who had been in the unit for five or six years and was still standing still. The reason was that he loved to show off too much. He always insisted on doing things that he shouldn't do, and he always did them badly, making the leader more and more disgusted. As a result, he had been in the unit for five or six years and was still the lowest-level staff member, without even a chance for promotion.

He gradually understood Sister Su's words. In officialdom, one must seek stability and must not love to show off too much. Firstly, one will be alienated by many competitors, leading to no popularity, and secondly, it will cause the leader's disgust.

Zhao Desan followed Su Qing like a servant. Every time Su Qing bought something, it was piled into his arms. Before they had finished walking down one street, Zhao Desan was already almost crushed to the ground by a pile of things, following Su Qing forward with his back hunched and sweating profusely. While walking, his gaze suddenly became astonished. He widened his eyes and looked straight ahead, turned his head and walked away. Who knew that as soon as he turned his head, he bumped into the person behind him. The things in his arms fell to the ground with a clatter. He quickly squatted on the ground, lowering his head and pretending to pick up things.

Just at that moment, Ma Lan, who was coming from the opposite side, also saw him, walked up quickly, squatted down, and said, "Desan, why are you hiding from me?"

Zhao Desan looked up at her with an extremely awkward expression, quickly picked up the big and small bags that had fallen on the ground, and said, "I... I'm not hiding from you. I... I've only been working for half a year, and I'm very busy usually. I don't have time. Alright, stop talking, I have something to do, I'm leaving first." As he spoke, he stepped forward to walk away. As soon as he stood up, Seeing Tingting walked up, her face full of youthful breath, wearing a sweet smile, and said with some surprise, "Brother Desan, you are also shopping?" Looking at the big and small bags in his hand, she said in surprise, "Hey, Brother Desan, why are you buying so many things? Why are they all women's clothes? Who are they for?" ===== CHAPTER 909 =====
