Chapter 32: Advancement of the Purple Crystal Scorpions

The next day, when he saw his aunt, he found her glowing with health. She must have consumed the Earth Soul Fruit. Although he did not know to what extent her divine sense had strengthened, he was certain it had exceeded the limits of the Qi Refining stage.

In this way, her success rate for Foundation Establishment should be higher. With his aunt leading the way, his parents and second uncle would follow in succession to establish their foundations. Just thinking about it made Lin Zhangqing feel happy! His grandfather and aunt had already decided to set off in two days to look for a cave abode to rent in advance, preparing for their Foundation Establishment.

Knowing his grandfather and aunt planned to leave the day after tomorrow, Lin Zhangqing hurried to see his grandfather. In the secret room, the grandfather and grandson were alone. Lin Zhangqing took out two large jade boxes, each containing 24 century-old Vermilion Fruits.

He discussed with his grandfather that they should start preparing second-tier spiritual artifacts for his aunt, so that she wouldn't be without a spiritual artifact to use once she established her foundation.

Moreover, what was more important was to enhance his grandfather's strength. As for things like adding spiritual artifacts or purchasing spiritual pills, his grandfather would have to handle those himself. In short, everything had to serve the safety of his grandfather and aunt.

His grandfather nodded and agreed: "I am an old hand in the cultivation world and have had many experiences. I will definitely return safely."

He told Lin Zhangqing not to worry and left him with twenty thousand spirit stones.

This trip would take between half a year to a year at the very least; they definitely wouldn't be back that quickly. His grandfather and aunt would certainly miss his younger sister's spirit root testing. Fortunately, it had already been confirmed that his younger sister, Lin Ling, had spirit roots.

He had originally wanted to take out an Earth Soul Fruit, but thought better of it. The Earth Soul Fruit was too eye-catching; he didn't want his grandfather and aunt to take such a huge risk!

Two days later, his grandfather and aunt set off in a low-key manner. Not many people knew about it; only the Clan Leader knew their destination.

The only ones seeing them off were Lin Zhangqing, his mother, and his younger sister. He hoped they would successfully bid for a Foundation Establishment Pill, allow his aunt to complete her Foundation Establishment, and return safely!

Once his grandfather and aunt were gone, the task of taking care of the Baicao Garden fell to Lin Zhangqing. Fortunately, having grown up here since he was a child, he was still very familiar with the place and could basically manage it.

It was just that he had no time to go to the Scripture Pavilion to read, though he had never relaxed his cultivation.

There was one piece of good news: the Purple Crystal Scorpions had now grown to fifteen or sixteen centimeters in length. Lin Zhangqing prepared to find one to consume a Vermilion Fruit first to see if there were any changes.

He picked out the strongest one, took out a Vermilion Fruit, and placed it in front of it. The Purple Crystal Scorpion rushed up impatiently.

It began to gnaw on the Vermilion Fruit, and in a short while, only the pit remained. After eating, it curled up at Lin Zhangqing's feet and began to fall into a deep sleep.

Lin Zhangqing knew this was digesting the spiritual energy of the fruit pulp. He first put it into the spirit beast bag and would see if there were any changes tomorrow.

Since he was feeding the Purple Crystal Scorpions Vermilion Fruits, he might as well feed one to Chuyi as well! He flew directly toward Aoyun Peak.

Just as he approached, Chuyi flew over, circling around Lin Zhangqing to play. The man and the bird circled Aoyun Peak once and landed at the spirit field.

He smoothed its feathers for a while and then took out a Vermilion Fruit.

Chuyi was very smart; it immediately realized something and began to curry favor with Lin Zhangqing, gently nudging him with its head again and again.

Lin Zhangqing smiled, peeled the fruit pulp, and fed it to Chuyi. It had to be peeled; otherwise, it might even swallow the pit.

The effect was immediate after eating; Chuyi also used deep sleep to digest the spiritual energy. Lin Zhangqing placed it in its nest; it should wake up tomorrow.

He went outside to finish today's work tasks first; after finishing, he still had to go to the Baicao Garden! After being busy for several hours, he finally finished today's tasks.

Returning home, only the mother and two children were left, and it felt a bit lonely! He still liked it when there were many people and it was lively. He wasn't quite used to it! After practicing spells at night, thinking about the twenty thousand spirit stones in his hand, he considered it and decided to give fifteen thousand to Lin Zhangliu first, keeping five thousand for himself as a reserve. The little guys he was raising now were all big consumers of resources.

Entering the space, he began to inspect the growth of various spirit plants and spirit medicines. They were all doing very well, so he got to work. With the Spirit Rain Technique and the Catalysis Technique, since the space area was still small, he finished quickly.

Walking to the edge of the deep pit, he threw in the fifteen thousand spirit stones. By tomorrow, Lin Zhangliu should have finished digesting them.

The next day, early in the morning, Lin Zhangqing was awakened by a chirping sound.

He discovered that Chuyi had completely advanced. A happy and excited emotion came from the bottom of his heart; it turned out it had come specifically to find Lin Zhangqing to share its joy. It was truly getting smarter and smarter.

It looked much taller and stronger than before. Its claws were still golden, bright, and powerful, and more parts of its wings and body had turned golden.

The transparent gold on its pupils was even richer, making it look majestic and fierce. It was very marketable!

He spread its wings to take a look. Before, its wingspan was only 80 centimeters, but now it was estimated to be 120 centimeters, and its body height was 80 centimeters. Its size had increased by a large circle; it was now a genuine first-tier mid-grade spirit beast.

After feeding Chuyi a Spirit Nurturing Pill, he let it get used to its new size by itself. This was necessary; otherwise, when catching insects in the spirit field, it might hurt the spirit medicines or spirit plants.

He began his routine cultivation, which never wavered. He felt that the effect of today's cultivation was a little better; it must be that Lin Zhangliu had digested the spirit stones, and the space had become larger again.

He couldn't help but enter the space to take a look and found that there was indeed an extra one and a half mu of land. Now the space had a total of four and a half mu, and he could plant many more spirit medicines and spirit plants.

Satisfied, he left the space and opened the spirit beast bag. Seeing the Purple Crystal Scorpion that had eaten the Vermilion Fruit yesterday, it had already woken up, and its size was much larger than the others. He hurried to take it out to see.

Lin Zhangqing carefully observed the little guy in his hand. Its body was still as beautiful as a purple crystal, but the purple was a little deeper.

Now its body length was about 30 centimeters, and its tail needle was six or seven centimeters long, looking cold and sharp. Its body shape was still slender, but its chelae were stronger and more powerful, and there were some barbs on its legs.

Looking at the aura emitted by its whole body, it had already advanced to a first-tier low-grade spirit insect. Lin Zhangqing let it try to turn invisible. He found that as soon as he put it down, it immediately turned invisible and disappeared.

It was truly magical! If it weren't for the contract connection, Lin Zhangqing wouldn't be able to find it.

He couldn't help but think in his heart, if 124 Purple Crystal Scorpions surrounded an enemy while invisible in the future, he didn't know what the enemy's fate would be! Being stung by a Purple Crystal Scorpion could damage both the body and the soul, causing intense pain, with the feeling of the soul being torn apart. Being stung by multiple ones could possibly cause one to die of pain alive.

Just thinking about it made him excited; he was really looking forward to the arrival of that day. For now, he should feed the remaining 123 Purple Crystal Scorpions Vermilion Fruits! He gently patted the spirit beast bag, let them all out, and took out 123 Vermilion Fruits, one for each.

It was truly too wasteful. These 123 Vermilion Fruits, even at 1,500 spirit stones each, would cost 185,000 spirit stones. That could buy three Foundation Establishment Pills with some left over. In the future, they must not disappoint him!

Soon all the Purple Crystal Scorpions finished gnawing on the Vermilion Fruits and entered a deep sleep to digest the spiritual energy. He collected all the pits. They would be useful in the future! As for the Purple Crystal Scorpions, he put them all into the spirit beast bag; that was safer! By tomorrow, they should all have advanced to first-tier low-grade, right! He especially wanted to see their hunting performance, but unfortunately, Lin Zhangqing still couldn't leave the Ancestral Mountain, so he could only wait until later!
