Chapter 442: Second-Stage Spirit Peach Forest

If it were a cultivator from another sect, it would be good enough if they could protect themselves. Otherwise, the Ghost Controlling Sect cultivators wouldn't have ranked first in scores for two or three consecutive Jiazi Trials.

With another thought, he had three more Purple Crystal Scorpions fire three purple light rays at the Ghost Controlling Sect cultivator's head to confirm he was thoroughly dead.

Only then did Lin Zhangqing go over, take everything useful off his body, and then use a few fireballs to dispose of the corpse cleanly.

He used his divine sense to search carefully twice, confirming there were no omissions around and nothing that could track him.

Only then did he summon the twelve Purple Crystal Scorpions back and continue on his way. He had to travel at least one thousand li every day to ensure he could rendezvous with Chen Zi Ya in about four days.

Of course, it wasn't just traveling; if he encountered suitable second-stage demon beasts, he would also stop to hunt for their demon cores.

On the other side, just after Chen Zi Ya landed and finally adjusted, she discovered that she should have landed on a hillside, and not far in front of her.

There was a large patch of spirit fruit trees. She couldn't help but be curious, went up to take a closer look, and it was really a lot of spirit peach trees, and they were already bearing many spirit fruits.

After sensing them, they were basically all second-stage spirit peach trees, and it went without saying that the fruits on them were definitely second-stage spirit fruits, which made her very tempted.

However, it might be because Chen Zi Ya was too close, which immediately attracted the attention of several second-stage demon monkeys in the peach forest, and they immediately shouted and rushed toward her.

And they were all waving those one-zhang-two-or-three-long wooden sticks in their hands as they pounced toward her.

Chen Zi Ya also had no experience and never thought that a large peach forest that could continuously produce precious second-stage spirit fruits.

Must have an owner, so one couldn't approach it casually without being prepared. However, fortunately, during this period, she had also accepted Lin Zhangqing's training.

It was not in vain, and her ability to react on the spot had improved quite a bit. She immediately patted the spirit beast bag at her waist and released thirty-six second-stage Purple Crystal Scorpions.

Then she gave them the order to attack. The five second-stage demon monkeys didn't even have time to get close before they were shot into sieves by thirty-six purple light rays.

But before they died, they all issued very sharp screams, which basically spread throughout the entire peach forest.

Chen Zi Ya had no experience with this, and she herself was startled by such miserable screams.

But the next moment, she knew something was wrong, because the entire peach forest was boiling, and the continuous monkey calls made it seem like there were hundreds of demon monkeys inside.

It scared her so much that she immediately wanted to fly on her sword and leave, but seeing the corpses of the five second-stage demon monkeys on the ground, she was a little reluctant.

So she still took the risk and rushed over, using the fastest speed to store the corpses of the five demon monkeys into her storage bag.

But at this time, fifty or sixty second-stage demon monkeys had already rushed out of the peach forest, and several of them were late-second-stage great perfection, with very powerful auras on their bodies.

The remaining ones were also mostly mid-to-late second-stage, and before they got close, they had already thrown many human-head-sized stones at Chen Zi Ya.

It scared her so much that she screamed, and not caring about so much, she immediately flew on her sword to escape, and also summoned back those Purple Crystal Scorpions she had released.

However, although the second-stage monkey group behind her couldn't fly, their movement speed on the ground was also very fast.

They kept following by Chen Zi Ya's side, and along the way, as long as they picked up suitable stones, they would throw them at her. She could only flee desperately, and with her divine sense fully open, to avoid being hit by the stones. Just like that, both sides used all their strength, one fleeing and one chasing, running for nearly a hundred li.

The demon monkey group behind finally gave up and returned to the peach forest, and Chen Zi Ya finally breathed a sigh of relief and found a relatively hidden place.

She used an array disk to set up a second-stage Breath-Hiding Array, and then entered it to rest. At this time, with the protection of the array, she finally relaxed a little.

Thinking of the movement she felt in her storage bag just now, she hurriedly took out the third-grade conch.

After hearing the sound transmission Lin Zhangqing gave her, Chen Zi Ya then used the Heart-Tethering Pendant to confirm the direction, only then did she understand that she had been running around randomly just now.

She had actually run more than a hundred li in the opposite direction, and now she was getting further and further away from Lin Zhangqing!

If she wanted to rendezvous with Lin Zhangqing, she would need to pass through that peach forest again, and by then, she would provoke that large group of second-stage demon monkeys again.

Making her face them again, Chen Zi Ya really didn't want to. There wasn't just that amount of demon monkeys that chased her out just now in that peach forest.

The sounds she heard just now were very numerous and mixed; she estimated that there were at least two or three hundred demon monkeys of various stages in the entire peach forest. In any case, she didn't want to provoke them again.

So, after considering it, she decided to take a detour. After making up her mind, she used the conch to report her safety to Lin Zhangqing.

And by the way, she told Lin Zhangqing about the situation she encountered after landing, explaining the reason why she didn't reply in time just now.

After Lin Zhangqing learned of her situation, he also agreed that she shouldn't go to provoke those demon monkeys, and emphasized even more that she shouldn't have any ideas about the second-stage spirit fruits in the peach forest.

And he also instructed her not to put the Purple Crystal Scorpions back into the spirit beast bag, but to leave them outside in an invisible state, to avoid any sudden situations where she wouldn't be able to react in time.

Also, if she encountered suitable targets, she could take action appropriately, but if the quantity was too large, she must avoid them.

It was best to control the target quantity within seven or eight. Of course, the most important thing was for the two of them to rendezvous as early as possible.

After ending the call with Lin Zhangqing, Chen Zi Ya released the five demon monkey corpses she had risked storing in her storage bag just now.

She used her flying sword spiritual artifact to cut open their bellies, found a total of four early-second-stage and one mid-second-stage demon cores, and stored them uniformly in a jade box.

Subsequently, the remaining demon beast meat was not wasted either, and she stored it all in a specialized storage bag, leaving it as rations for the two's spirit beasts later.

In fact, Chen Zi Ya's luck was still not bad. If the place where she landed just now had been inside the peach forest, she might not have been able to get out!

So after she figured it out, she was really fortunate. It was estimated that there were quite a few cultivators who entered this time just like her.

Landing right next to a demon beast's lair, it was just unknown how many people could escape death just like her.

After resting in the array for a while, and after all the mana in her body recovered, she didn't dare to delay too much time, took back the array disk, and started on her way.

Returning the same way was definitely not feasible, so she could only choose to take a detour, which added more than two hundred li of distance.
