Chapter 575: Forcing into the Burrow

This will be decided based on the situation at the end; if the Purple Crystal Scorpions or Shock-Spirit Cicadas really need to take action,

then Lin Zhangqing won't be soft-hearted and definitely won't leave any hidden dangers for himself! Moreover, he must reserve his magical power; the total amount of magical power in his Dantian is several times that of others.

Therefore, he must pretend to recover his magical power after using at most thirty percent, otherwise others will definitely notice the abnormality! At the appointed time, everyone appeared in the hall consciously.

Song Junxue, as the host and organizer here, stood out duty-bound.

After surveying everyone, she said: "I won't say anything else! In a moment, when the Black Crystal Army Ants leave the burrow to forage, we will sneak in.

Try not to make any noise, and don't cause too large spiritual power fluctuations; after all, army ants are very sensitive to these! Although being discovered is certain, if we can be discovered a little later, our chances will be a little better, so everyone must pay attention!

Also, we have twelve people now; I suggest dividing into three groups, with one group taking the lead, one group in the middle, and one group bringing up the rear each time! Everyone will take turns advancing to ensure others have time to recover the consumed magical power! If there are no problems, I will start grouping now!"

Seeing everyone nod in agreement.

Then, the twelve people were divided into three groups; Lin Zhangqing and Song Junxue were in the same group, and their group was responsible for taking the lead! The remaining Ye Chuji and Li Youshu were each responsible for one group; now Ye Chuji's group was in the middle, and Li Youshu and the others were bringing up the rear! Everything was ready, and all that remained was waiting. Sure enough, after midnight, a large black torrent surged out from a burrow entrance beneath the giant peak! Everyone observed from the summit; although it wasn't their first time seeing it, many people still felt their hair stand on end! It took about two quarters of an hour for the black torrent to disappear, but everyone didn't take action immediately, but waited for a while longer!

After waiting for the Black Crystal Army Ants to move further away, Song Junxue withdrew the Heavenly Mechanism Mansion.

Then everyone quietly went down the giant peak and crept toward the burrow entrance.

Fortunately, everything went quite smoothly, and they didn't cause too much of a stir, so everyone successfully reached the burrow entrance.

Lin Zhangqing's group was responsible for taking the lead and entered without any hesitation; fortunately, the burrow entrance was still quite large! It was about two zhang in radius, enough for four people to advance side by side. Once here, no one dared to be careless, and everyone opened their divine sense to the fullest!

After entering the burrow, they discovered it was a natural karst cave, and it became more and more spacious inside.

However, perhaps because of the frequent entry and exit of the army ants, many uneven places had been polished very smoothly and flatly.

The first few dozen zhang were fine, but Lin Zhangqing discovered that this burrow was going downward, and after a hundred zhang,

they began to encounter army ants; it was truly like poking a hornet's nest! Although they had used the fastest speed to kill all the army ants they encountered, not giving them a chance to pass on the message!

But for some reason, their tracks were still exposed, and the army ants inside the burrow were surging toward them continuously!

At this point, there was no point in hiding anymore, and the group taking the lead immediately let go and fought.

Actually, everyone had just tried using spiritual artifact attacks; although there was some effect, the effect wasn't obvious against the army ants surging forward frantically!

Therefore, everyone was now bombarding them with spells.

Black Crystal Army Ants are dark-attribute creatures, so among the five-element spells, fire-attribute spells have the greatest lethality against them, followed by metal-attribute spells! Now Lin Zhangqing was maintaining his body's defense and then bombarding them with fireballs with both hands!

His fireball spell had reached the Great Perfection realm, and the spell was formed with a thought! However, he still controlled his speed, maintaining it at the level of one fireball spell per breath.

His fireball spell had quite a large power; every fireball that hit the ground could clear a space of one zhang in radius.

However, the dead army ants would explode with a kind of deep green thick liquid and emit a pungent, unpleasant odor.

Forcing everyone to use magical power to block their sense of smell! Among the four people in Lin Zhangqing's group taking the lead, three could use fire-attribute spells, and only Song Junxue had been using fire-attribute spirit talismans.

Lin Zhangqing guessed that she might not have a fire-attribute spirit root, which was why she needed to do this!

After a period of running-in, the four people's cooperation became more and more tacit, all taking turns using spells to open the way.

However, after advancing for more than a hundred zhang, Second-Tier army ants also popped out, and their pressure increased sharply.

But Song Junxue made a decisive decision, giving up on using spirit talismans to attack, and immediately switched to spiritual artifacts to specifically kill Second-Tier army ants, allowing others to open the way with peace of mind.

But as they continued to penetrate deeper, the number of Second-Tier army ants was also continuously increasing.

This forced Lin Zhangqing to use his mind for two purposes, bombarding with fireballs on one side and manipulating the Three Talents Golden Light Swords to kill Second-Tier army ants on the other.

However, he didn't want to be too prominent, so he intentionally lowered the attack frequency of his fireball spell.

Just like this, under such high-intensity and high-consumption conditions, after the four people taking the lead advanced another two hundred-plus zhang, the magical power in their Dantians had already been consumed by sixty or seventy percent!

Song Junxue immediately called for Ye Chuji's group in the middle to take over, and then Lin Zhangqing's group retreated to the last position to recover magical power!

At this moment, except for Lin Zhangqing, everyone had taken Second-Tier Spirit Recovery Pills and was also clutching several medium-grade spirit stones in their hands, recovering with all their might!

Seeing everyone like this, Lin Zhangqing could only follow suit; otherwise, he would definitely be discovered by others! Amidst the heat waves and explosions, after everyone finally advanced another distance, two forks appeared in front!

And both forks had First and Second-Tier army ants popping out, which was troublesome! Because advancing was already very difficult, if they took the wrong path, they would likely all be left here!

If the entire burrow was turned into a maze by the army ants, then most people would likely despair! Fortunately, at this critical moment, Song Junxue released a pale golden rhinoceros from the Spirit Beast Bracelet on her hand.

It was nearly a zhang long and six feet high, and its eyes were very distinctive, a very crystalline, jade-like color.

Moreover, there was a layer of pale golden scales on its body surface, and it looked very fierce overall! Lin Zhangqing knew that this should be the Auspicious Blue-Eyed Golden Rhinoceros that Song Junxue mentioned! (End of Chapter) ===== CHAPTER 576 =====
