Chapter 610: Preparing to Breakthrough

So no matter what, he had to try the effect.

However, having the experience of taking a Third-Stage Earth Soul Fruit before and almost killing himself, he still remembered the situation at that time vividly.

Therefore, Lin Zhangqing didn't dare to be careless this time, lest he repeat the same mistake.

So he first weighed the amount he could bear in his heart, and after having a result, he cut off a quarter of a Thunder Extreme Fruit and took it.

The feeling of the Thunder Extreme Fruit in his mouth was sour and sweet; the taste was still very good, much better than the Hundred-Year Vermilion Fruit.

However, after the spirit fruit was eaten into his body, it immediately turned into a violent and scorching thunder-attribute energy, dissipating into the muscles all over his body.

Afterward, this thunder-attribute energy wandered through his meridians again. Unfortunately, when it was about to complete a circulation through all the meridians of his body, the energy was completely exhausted! However, although this energy was violent and scorching, it didn't cause any damage to his body.

On the contrary, the meridians the energy passed through seemed to have been strengthened, and both their extensibility and toughness had been significantly improved.

Seeing there was no danger, Lin Zhangqing simply ate the remaining three-quarters of the Thunder Extreme Fruit!

However, this operation pitted himself miserably. A violent thunder-attribute energy four or five times larger than before

suddenly appeared in his body, almost blowing him up. So he could only try his best to guide them, letting them circulate through all the meridians of his body.

But after circulating three times, although the meridians of his whole body were equivalent to being strengthened three times,

he had a feeling that in the short term, the meridians couldn't be strengthened anymore; otherwise, it might be counterproductive and cause irreversible damage to the meridians.

However, now more than half of the energy remained, and he didn't know what to do. Lin Changliu wasn't by his side, and there was no one to help him share this excess energy.

But fortunately, he suddenly had a flash of inspiration and guided this energy into the apertures he was currently opening.

He hadn't expected it to be very easy. The energy just turned a circle in the aperture and completed the work of opening the thunder aperture.

Lin Zhangqing was overjoyed and tried guiding this energy to expand the newly opened thunder aperture. He hadn't expected it to succeed either.

So he expanded this thunder aperture to the standard size and then guided this energy to continue opening thunder apertures for himself.

By the time this energy was completely exhausted, it had already helped Lin Zhangqing open six complete standard thunder apertures.

By now, Lin Zhangqing already possessed one hundred and six thunder apertures. This situation made him wild with joy.

But he quickly reined in his emotions, because the matter hadn't ended yet; there was still one thing to do.

He found the Thunder Spirit Pearls he had replaced before and immediately took these six Thunder Spirit Pearls that had already been refined before,

and through the Treasure Gathering Secret Art, sent them into the six newly opened thunder apertures.

With the suppressing objects, the thunder mana in the apertures wouldn't rebel, and only then was all the work completed.

By this time, Lin Zhangqing finally let out a sigh of relief and began to check his body.

He didn't know about other things, but he had truly almost blown himself up just now, plus that energy had also strengthened his body.

So now, from head to toe, his whole body was covered in a thin layer of blood scabs, and he had already felt that there were several hundred tiny wounds all over his body.

They should have been caused by that violent thunder-attribute energy. Fortunately, he was smart, plus had a little bit of luck; otherwise, he would have truly repeated the same mistake!

Fortunately, he was a body cultivator, thick-skinned and fleshy with strong recovery ability. He estimated that at most in one or two days, he would be completely healed. And the most obvious thing was that he felt his body's strength had become much stronger, feeling as if he could easily beat a Third-Stage Three-Eyed Thunder Ape into a meat patty.

Of course, Lin Zhangqing knew that this was just an illusion brought about by imperfect control of strength after a sudden surge in strength.

In reality, he wasn't as formidable as he felt; he estimated that at most, he had increased his strength by several tens of thousands of jin.

But exactly how much it had increased would require finding a chance to test it.

He manually removed the blood scabs from his body, took another Spring Return Pill, and then went outside to take a bath with the Spirit Rain Technique.

This was also to let himself calm down. Afterward, in a relatively open area in the small valley,

he practiced his staff technique dozens, hundreds of times, only then could he be considered to have roughly adapted to the suddenly surging strength.

Finally, he patrolled the surroundings of the small valley again and found no problems. Only then did Lin Zhangqing return to the formation inside the cave.

The situation was like this now, but there was a very important problem placed in front of him.

That was, he had already opened one hundred and six thunder apertures now, and only two apertures remained before reaching the limit of the Thunder True Scripture's Foundation Establishment stage.

Now the problem was, did he want to take advantage of this opportunity to break through this limit right here in the Thunder Extreme Secret Realm, with the help of the Thunder Extreme Fruit.

After considering it over and over, he finally decided to take advantage of this opportunity and break through right inside here.

Otherwise, if he broke through after joining the Heavenly Water Sect later, it would more or less still be a bit troublesome.

It was better to break through here, which was also equivalent to adding a trump card for himself.

After all, if there were no accidents, he would definitely be able to join the Heavenly Water Sect, but the sect itself definitely wasn't simple either, so being able to increase some strength was good.

However, the breakthrough wasn't now. He prepared to heal all the injuries on his body first, then conserve his energy, and then come to break through!

Thinking about it now, he was still a bit excited. After all, if he really broke through successfully, he would be equivalent to a Third-Stage body cultivator! His strength would definitely advance by leaps and bounds, and his survival ability in this secret realm would also be greatly improved.

Just like this, he calmed his mind and began to heal his injuries again.

Time passed without knowing it, and another five days passed.

By the time Lin Zhangqing opened his eyes again, he was already completely prepared, so he took out that jade box containing the Thunder Extreme Fruits again.

And chose the smallest Thunder Extreme Fruit from inside, because he only needed to open two more thunder apertures to reach the limit of the Foundation Establishment stage.

So he didn't need to look for that kind of big one; he would save as much as he could.

Then, after opening one aperture, he could break through to the Purple Mansion stage of the Thunder True Scripture. Of course, his cultivation in terms of body cultivation would also be equivalent to the early stage of the Third-Stage Body Refining!

He took the Thunder Extreme Fruit, split it in two, and directly ate one half.

Afterward, that familiar, violent and scorching thunder-attribute energy appeared again.
