Chapter 655: Three-Pointed Cuttlefish

Instantly, God-Shocking Cicadas danced all over the sky, and the entire sea area immediately resounded with a continuous "Zhi! Zhi!" sound!

And the Star Whirl Turtles on the sea surface didn't react slowly either; basically, every Star Whirl Turtle instantly formed one or two layers of beautiful starlight shields.

Unfortunately, this type of starlight shield didn't have much defensive power against the God-Shocking Technique, so all the Star Whirl Turtles rolled painfully on the sea surface.

Some even wanted to take the opportunity to dive back into the sea, but unfortunately, it was too late; ten breaths later, the sea surface returned to calm.

Lin Zhangqing immediately went down and collected their corpses into the Spirit Beast Bracelet; all twelve Star Whirl Turtles were there, and not a single one could escape.

Now his mood was quite good; with the help of the God-Shocking Cicadas this time, it could be said to be quite smooth!

And there were twelve Star Whirl Turtles here in total; besides the two used to hand in the mission, after dealing with the remaining ten, he estimated they could bring him an income of 70,000 or 80,000 spirit stones.

This was already quite good, and the demon beast meat on them could also be used by him to feed his spirit insects and spirit pets.

Originally, after completing the mission, Lin Zhangqing wanted to find a place to release his spirit boat to use as a temporary place to rest, but then he thought that there were quite a few treasures in the sea.

Plus, he had just eliminated the Star Whirl Turtles entrenched here, so he could completely go down into the sea to explore.

Thus, after recalling all the God-Shocking Cicadas into the Spirit Beast Bracelet, he plunged into the sea and used the Water Escape Technique to drill toward the seabed.

Unfortunately, it was pitch black inside the sea; fortunately, he still had some Glow Stones in his Spirit Beast Bracelet, which he could just take out and use.

And in the water, his divine sense was also restricted to a certain extent.

So he searched for more than an hour, but besides finding a dozen first-tier water-attribute spirit herbs, there were no other major gains.

But these first-tier spirit grasses didn't have much use for him now! And Lin Zhangqing didn't find the nests of those Star Whirl Turtles either; originally, according to his expectation,

he should have been able to discover some spirit objects in their nests, but he didn't expect that after searching for so long, he wouldn't find them.

He didn't know which corner their cave entrances were in!

Finally, after wasting two hours, he had to give up this underwater treasure hunting operation!

After coming out of the sea surface, it was only a little over an hour until dawn, so he simply didn't release the spirit boat! After directly identifying the approximate direction, he flew toward the last destination.

This was the mission he had supplemented last; the target of this mission was relatively far from here.

He estimated that even if he controlled the third-tier magic treasure flying sword, it would take about three days!

So on the way, Lin Zhangqing found an uninhabited small island and took out the twelve Star Whirl Turtles he had harvested to deal with them first! In fact, after a demon beast dies, its inner core must be taken out early, otherwise, if time passes, it will lose quite a bit of spiritual energy.

So Lin Zhangqing still had to deal with these things first; this took him about half a day!

Fortunately, now there was only one mission left, so Lin Zhangqing's pressure wasn't that great! After calibrating the direction and continuing to fly, just like that, three days passed, and he finally arrived at the destination sea area.

The mission target this time was a second-tier demon beast in the sea called the Three-Pointed Cuttlefish, and the spirit object he wanted to obtain was the ink sac on them.

Their ink sacs were the favorite of spirit talisman masters; it was said that after being made into spirit ink, they could be used to draw a type of small Sky-Shrouding Talisman.

Lin Zhangqing didn't know what specific use this Sky-Shrouding Talisman had! But the mission requirement this time was to bring back at least five relatively full ink sacs, but according to the hint on the mission scroll, this type of demon beast called the Three-Pointed Cuttlefish basically couldn't appear on the sea surface by itself, so to get their ink sacs,

the only choice was to dive into the sea to find them.

Originally, Lin Zhangqing didn't intend to accept this type of time-consuming and energy-consuming mission.

It was just that among the missions he had selected, one had been claimed by someone else in advance, so he had to accept this mission.

Just like that, after confirming the sea area where they might exist, Lin Zhangqing began to search back and forth in this area with the Water Escape Technique! However, his luck this time wasn't that good; he searched for nearly ten days, but didn't find a single shadow.

Finally, he even had to expand the search area, and only then did he find their figures at a distance of more than 20,000 li! But he didn't know whether Lin Zhangqing's luck was good or bad, because he found a large group.

The number was at least over three hundred; this Three-Pointed Cuttlefish had a characteristic: as long as they felt danger,

they would spray a type of black thick ink, and soon the entire area would be polluted by this thick ink.

Even a cultivator's divine sense couldn't penetrate this thick ink; as long as one entered the thick ink, one would soon become blind and deaf.

But the Three-Pointed Cuttlefish themselves weren't affected by this thick ink and could move freely inside.

They would even use the three sharp horns on their heads to ram the enemies inside the thick ink.

One could imagine if Lin Zhangqing were trapped in this thick ink and attacked by more than three hundred second-tier demon beasts.

In this way, even if he were a third-tier body refiner, he wouldn't be able to hold on at all!

Although Lin Zhangqing had the Kui Water Yin Thunder, which could be used underwater, he definitely couldn't deal with so many second-tier Three-Pointed Cuttlefish.

So the only way now was to see if there was any method

to attract the attention of a small portion of the Three-Pointed Cuttlefish and let them leave the group for a period of time.

That way he would have a chance to take action, but he tried several times and couldn't succeed! Because whether it was using the fresh blood on the demon beast or the demon beast meat, it didn't have much effect on them.

It seemed they had no attraction to them, which gave Lin Zhangqing a headache, and he even thought about whether to give up this mission! Finally, Lin Zhangqing could only think of a very helpless method.

That was to prepare two Kui Water Yin Thunders each time, and then Lin Zhangqing would fire the Yin Thunders as far away from them as possible.

After taking action, he wouldn't look at the result, and regardless of anything else, he would immediately rush to the sea surface, so he wouldn't easily be trapped in the thick ink.

But whether he could get the spoils in the end would depend on luck!

Because it wasn't the case that every time he went back to search, he could find the corpses of the Three-Pointed Cuttlefish.

Anyway, after entangling like this for seven or eight days, Lin Zhangqing finally barely managed to get the five ink sacs needed to hand in the mission.
