Chapter 1024 - 1032: Want to Go and Check

Jane Sampson knew James Black kept his word.

So, she quickly said, "Don’t do anything yet, I want to go and confirm something."

"Okay," James Black agreed immediately, "once you’ve made up your mind, just give me a call, and I’ll take care of the rest."

Jane subconsciously nodded her head but then remembered that nodding like that, James couldn’t see her, so she changed to verbally acknowledging with an "okay."

Just as she was about to hang up, she suddenly heard James speak in an annoyed tone on the phone.

"Can you control your fans?" he asked.

Jane was stunned, "Control what?"

"Their nicknames."

One second.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

Jane suppressed her laughter, struggling to hold it back.

"I can’t control it," Jane chuckled in response, "as long as the nicknames aren’t duplicated or vulgar, Twitter won’t manage them."

"Hmph!" James’s tone grew more displeased. "From your voice, it sounds like you’re quite happy about it, huh?"

"Not at all!" Jane quickly explained, but once she had finished answering, she could no longer hold back her laughter and burst out laughing after saying those three words, "Hahaha, sorry, I really tried to hold it in, I’m going to hang up now, haha!"

With that, Jane quickly hung up the phone, set her mobile next to her, looked up, and said to Coco Edwards, "James is furious about those nicknames the fans on Twitter have given."

"Is he jealous?" Coco laughed along. "If he gets jealous over that kind of thing, he might as well delete his Twitter account now."

Meanwhile, James, listening to the buzzing sound of the disconnected call on the phone, had only one thought.

There was one question he had forgotten to ask her personally.

What was her answer?

She had slipped away from it again.

James didn’t know that Jane had to confirm another issue, so he didn’t do anything for the time being.

However, every time he saw the information folder on his desk, he started thinking about how to deal with the studio.

As for Mona Calm, it would still be okay to think about it later after Jane had replied to him.

Regarding the studio that was using Jane as a stepping stone over and over again, James could absolutely not tolerate it.

So, James would not allow the studio to continue its existence.

Back at the hotel after the meal, Jane went to the film crew with Coco, and when they arrived, the crew was already busy.

While Jane was getting her makeup done, Mona Calm came in from outdoors with red eyes, standing behind Jane.

Jane lifted her eyes and immediately saw the figure in the mirror—if it weren’t for what James had said to her in the morning, Jane might have genuinely softened upon seeing Mona in such a state.

However, at this moment, viewing the yesterday’s pitiable Mona now stirred up tumultuous feelings within Jane.

She could no longer find yesterday’s compassion.
