Chapter 1039 - 1047: Why Push Me
"I’ll call the hotel security," said Coco Edwards as she nodded and was the first to close the main gate. She didn’t leave immediately but stood in the doorway as a guardian, guarding the spot, then used her mobile phone to call the reception to report the situation.
Mona Calm hadn’t expected that Jane Sampson wouldn’t even show her face, considering the film crew had booked the entire hotel. It had been quite a feat for her to sneak in.
Therefore, hearing Coco call for security, Mona immediately stood up, pushed Coco aside, and started banging forcefully on Jane Sampson’s room door.
"Sister Jane, Sister Jane, I beg you to see me, I was wrong, Sister Jane, I really know I was wrong, I shouldn’t have used you, shouldn’t have pushed you, Sister Jane, I beg you to give me one more chance, please forgive me just once."
Mona wept profusely, and as she knelt at the room doorway, she had already thrown all her dignity away.
Her boyfriend’s studio had been sealed, her boyfriend had been taken away by the police, and she had received a termination call from the company last night, claiming that the industry had received messages and planned to jointly ban her.
Mona had nowhere to retreat, nowhere to go, which was why she had no choice but to seek Jane Sampson for help.
After spending so much time with Jane, Mona still hadn’t figured out what Jane Sampson’s background was or whether she came from a strong family or had someone backing her.
But, Mona knew that this situation definitely involved Jane.
It must have been highly confidential, so Jane had consulted with James Chip about kicking her out of the film crew.
They were like cats toying with a dying mouse, watching her jump up and down on Twitter, thinking she was impressing everyone—Mona didn’t realize how proud she had been that afternoon, nor how resounding the slap that landed on her face that evening was.
"Sister Jane, I beg you, don’t ban me, Sister Jane, I’m begging you, just give me this one chance, I will change, I really will change." Mona raised her hand and banged on Jane Sampson’s door.
The noise attracted everyone around.
The entire hotel was occupied by cast and crew, and this floor housed central figures like James Chip.
Seeing Mona blocking Jane Sampson’s door, Hibiscus Wood slowly walked out of her room, and leaning against the room doorway, she scoffed, "Where do you get the face to ask for forgiveness? Still using people and plotting to kill, even after being exposed. It’s unbelievable, some people’s faces are as big as the entire earth."
Jane Sampson listened inside for a while, knowing there were quite a few people outside before she suddenly opened the door and stepped out.
Coco Edwards snapped back to reality and pulled Mona a few steps away, while Jane Sampson walked towards her and stopped three steps away.
She looked at Mona with a cold gaze, devoid of any warmth.
Then she asked, "Mona, I just have one question, why did you push me out in the mountain village?"
It was a question Jane Sampson had always wanted to know the answer to.
Mona, with tears and biting her lips, stood there for a while before asking, "If I tell you, can you forgive me? Can you give me another chance, Sister Jane, I truly know I was wrong."
Jane Sampson froze, and after a moment, she sarcastically said, "You don’t have to say."
Her tone was indifferent.
Even now, still thinking about bargaining.
Who could believe she truly knew she was wrong? Was it not just because she was pressured by the situation and had no choice but to admit her fault?
