Chapter 1044 - 1052: 66
Then Coco Edwards propped her chin next to Jane Sampson, watching as Jane kept receiving red envelopes, so many that Coco wondered, "Do Jane’s fingers hurt?"
How patient must the man on the other side of the mobile phone be to send Jane red envelope after red envelope?
Each red envelope contained 66.66 bucks. After seeing this, Coco lost interest and bowed her head to eat her meal.
After a long time, Jane finally clapped her hands and exclaimed, "All done."
Then she took a bite of the buns Coco handed her and began to count how many red envelopes she had received.
"1, 2, 3, 4...66." After counting, Jane’s eyes nearly blurred, and she picked a cute little rabbit emoticon to send back.
[Thank you boss for the red envelope] — James Black’s wife.
Mr. Black replied almost instantly.
No. — Jane Sampson’s Mr. Black.
Jane mumbled, "What’s wrong now?"
After taking a sip of soup, she suddenly remembered that the last time James sent her a red envelope, she had replied with this emoticon, and what had James said then?
Not boss, husband.
So, what he meant by ’wrong’ was the text on the emoticon?
Jane thought for a moment and tried sending another message.
Thank you, husband, for the red envelope, [Cute][Cute][Cute] — James Black’s wife.
The next second, a message from Mr. Black swiftly came back.
Hmm. — Jane Sampson’s Mr. Black.
Jane chuckled out loud, finally setting her phone aside, her whole being, even her hair strands, brimming with laughter.
After eating, Jane Sampson and Coco Edwards headed straight off to the film crew.
When they arrived, it was still quite early, but Hibiscus Wood was already there, as was the new third female role, Grace Chip, who was chatting with a unfamiliar girl.
From the way they spoke, it seemed like they had known each other before.
Hearing the noise from Jane’s side, the people turned their heads towards her direction and greeted her, "Sister Jane, this is Emily Young, who just joined our crew replacing Mona Calm." Grace stood up and introduced her to Jane.
"Do you two know each other?" asked Jane, seeing that it was still early and taking a seat next to them to join the conversation.
Grace Chip had been in the crew for a few days, but compared to Jane, her work schedule wasn’t light at all. The time that had been delayed by Amber Edwards was entirely squeezed out on Grace, plus thinking her role was gone previously, Grace’s company had arranged other work for her.
These contracts were all signed, so she couldn’t turn them down. Thus Grace had to take care of both the film crew and other notices, making her one of those often busy people who disappeared right after the filming ended.
"Yes, we are from the same batch. I managed to join the crew this time thanks to Grace recommending me," Emily smiled, not hiding the reason she could replace Mona in the crew.
Jane smiled back but didn’t inquire further. However, it was apparent that when James Chip picked replacements, he looked for someone with a similar build to Mona; at first glance, Emily Young and Mona Calm were almost the same type of girl, both similar in height and physique.
With that, the issue with Mona came to an end within the crew.
With Amber Edwards in the past and now Mona Calm, the entire crew was indeed bustling.
During this time, "I’m Not a Celebrity" also started airing episode by episode.
