"No need," Jane Sampson quickly shook her head, fearing that James Black really would phone James Chip. She swiftly snatched his mobile phone from his hand and hid it behind her back, "Don’t call. If I do take the time off, the film crew would have to delay their work arrangements because of me. Everyone’s script is already scheduled so tightly, taking half a day off would just make the work even harder later on."

Although Jane said she did not want to go, she clearly understood she shouldn’t hinder James Chip’s arrangements because of her.

It wasn’t so much that she didn’t want to go, but rather, she just wanted to act spoiled in James Black’s arms for a bit.

His embrace was really warm, as if leaning on him could erase all the fatigue of these past few days.

She had waited for him for a week, and finally, he was here.

James Black silently lifted his hand and gently rubbed the back of her head, "Just don’t wear yourself out."

"Mm." Jane murmured a response, then burrowed her head under James Black’s armpit so much that he had to awkwardly lift his arm to avoid crushing her.

"What are you doing?" James Black’s voice was full of helplessness, "Why are you acting like the Great General when he was a puppy?"

"Hehe." Jane looked up at James Black with a smile, then continued to wiggle underneath his armpit, forcing him to shift from lying flat to his side.

Jane was sprawled all over James Black, then suddenly with a strong push, she shoved him face down onto the pillow while she quickly clambered onto his back, proclaiming triumphantly, "Giddy up! Carry me to the bathroom."

James Black was caught off guard, and as Jane yelled, she playfully patted his shoulder.

"Jane Sampson, I think you’re aiming to climb to the universe," James Black gritted his teeth and rolled over, pinning the person on his back to the ground, "You’re getting too unruly without a cleanup for a few days, huh? Itching for a spanking?"

"It was just a joke~" Jane pinched James Black’s face and sighed, "What to do, I’m quite angry, but what can you do? I can’t bear to hit you, and I can’t scold you."

James Black was speechless, the corners of his mouth twitching almost imperceptibly.

She indeed had a way of airing out exactly what was on his mind without missing a beat.

"You’re asking for it." After saying this, James Black leaned down to kiss her.

The kiss was intense, as if he was really going to discipline her. Jane found she couldn’t dodge it in time.

His hands pinned her shoulders, immobilizing her.

With him completely over her, the kissing was intense and lingering, and she could distinctly feel his mood beginning to change slowly.
