Chapter 1113 - 1121 Look If You Want to Look

After hanging up with James Carter, Jane Sampson couldn’t wait to send a WhatsAPP video call to James Black.

Unexpectedly, James Black had just taken a bath and was wearing a bath towel when he answered the video call. The sight of his hair still dripping wet made Jane unable to help but swallow her saliva.

"What’s up?" James naturally noticed Jane’s little action and teased her, "Just hung up and you already miss me?"

"..." Jane laughed softly, her voice gentle, "You... you go get dressed first!"

After saying that, Jane shifted her gaze away and tossed her mobile phone onto the pillow, resisting the urge to watch James get dressed.

One minute later, Jane asked, "Are you dressed yet?"

"Want to know? Why not just look for yourself?" James’s voice came from the mobile phone, making Jane clench her teeth in irritation.

This guy, doing it on purpose!

"Fine, I’ll look!" Jane stretched her head out to peek, her eyes wide as she stared at the mobile phone screen.

Seeing that he was now wearing pajamas, there was unexpectedly a hint of disappointment on her face.

"What is it?" James lay comfortably on the sofa, holding the mobile phone in one hand while drying his hair with a towel, and then asked.

The two had just finished talking on the phone not long ago; if there was nothing important, Jane wouldn’t immediately make a video call to him again.

After all, Jane was not the clingy type, being an independent person; it was quite unlikely for her to change into someone who needed to cling to another person constantly within a short period of time.

"Let me ask you a question first, does the guard team have any holiday during the New Year?" Jane thought for a moment and then rephrased her question, "Are you coming home for Chinese New Year this year?"

"No holidays. During the New Year, some people will go home to visit relatives, but those of us who are leaders and officers need to fill in for their positions," James explained. "During such holidays, it’s important to give leave to those team members who haven’t been home for many years. For us who have our homes in the Capital Province, anytime we go back, it’s the same."

"I guessed as much." Jane nodded. So in the early years of Chinese New Year, James was usually with the guard team, and she would go to the Black Family and spend New Year with Old Master Black. If she didn’t feel bored, she would return to her and James’s home after the second day of the new year. If she felt lonely at home by herself, she would stay a few more days at the Black Family.

"But..." James caught Jane’s drifting gaze and immediately followed up with a statement, "This year, during the New Year, you must come to the guard team and keep me company."

"Hehe." Jane knew that James would definitely arrange it that way.

"Laughing is no use, Jane Sampson, I am your husband. If you’re not spending the New Year with me, where else do you plan to go?" James seemed to have caught onto something.

Jane was testing his attitude to plan her holiday schedule.

James remembered that he had told Rock Bell that he needed to clear at least ten days during the New Year for Jane to spend with him at the guard team. "I didn’t go anywhere, just in the Capital Province," Jane felt that with her skills, trying to play games with James was simply boring herself.

And there it was; within just a couple sentences, James had guessed her little schemes.

So, Jane simply decided to be upfront and told him about the call she had received from James Carter just now.

"Just now, I got a call from Mr. Carter. Mr. Carter said that he would like to invite me to join him on stage for this year’s Spring Festival Gala."
