Chapter 1202 - 1210: What’s the Plan?
Jane Sampson thought that this issue could only be resolved after James Black returned and figured out a way to help her investigate.
"Alright, just take this USB flash drive and the documents. If you need any more help afterward, feel free to come and find me." Rachel Miller put the USB into a file bag and handed it directly to Jane Sampson, then pulled out one of his business cards from the desk and handed it to her, saying, "Don’t hesitate to bother me, I am happy to make Miss Sampton’s acquaintance."
Rachel Miller’s sincerity almost made Jane Sampson believe he was genuinely eager to help.
After expressing her gratitude once more, Jane Sampson and Bright Sampton followed Sister Shaw and left the Crystal Element Grand Hotel.
"Do you feel like you have a handle on the situation now? In your circle, sometimes it seems as murky as a dye vat, constantly having to stay on guard." Sister Shaw said. "These past few days I’ve also asked my family to keep a close eye on that person for you. I’ll let you know if there’s any news."
"Thank you, Sister Shaw," Jane Sampson nodded. "I’ll tell James Black once he returns from his mission."
"Don’t mention it. By the way, you’ve lost quite a bit of weight recently. Don’t you love my hotpot? Bring your younger brother over sometime to eat again. Now that you’re better, it’s time to gradually regain the weight you’ve lost." Sister Shaw shook her head as she looked at Jane Sampson’s frail appearance. "It’s nice for girls to be slim, but being too thin isn’t good either."
"Alright, when I have some time, I’ll come and chat," Jane Sampson agreed. Once the car stopped at the hotel staff passage, Jane Sampson and Bright Sampton got out of the car and returned to their room.
Once in the room, Bright Sampton started browsing through messages from netizens on his mobile phone, frowning with concern as he looked at Jane Sampson and asked, "Sister, what do you plan to do?"
"I’ll discuss it with Sister Tin in a bit," Jane Sampson responded, while attempting to call James Black on her mobile phone.
Unsurprisingly, she couldn’t get through to James Black’s phone.
Jane Sampson held her mobile phone, lost in thought for a while. By the time she snapped back to reality, Bright Sampton had already plugged the USB he got from Rachel Miller into his computer and was deftly moving his hands across the keyboard, doing who knows what.
Just as Jane Sampson was about to call Sister Tin, Brooke Black called her first.
Jane Sampson glanced at Bright Sampton, who was sitting intently in front of the computer, and took her mobile phone to the balcony to answer the call.
Brooke Black called Jane Sampson about something on the internet. Since James Black was out for tasks recently and an issue had arisen here, Brooke naturally took it very seriously.
"Little Jane, that young guy in the video looks a lot like your Bright Sampton," Brooke Black spoke frankly, as she was close to Jane Sampson. "I’m quite puzzled by this matter, what’s going on?"
"Auntie, it is Bright. He just returned from international and came to King Town to stay with me," Jane Sampson hadn’t told her family about her illness that lasted nearly a month, but anyone from the Sampton Family who had seen Bright could recognize him from his build and profile.
"Your younger brother is pretty considerate," the entire Sampton Family, besides Jane Sampson herself, was well regarded, especially Bright Sampton in Brooke’s eyes.
According to Brooke Black, Jane Sampson had always adored her younger brother Bright Sampton, and now it seemed, her affection was not misplaced.
