Chapter 1205 - 1213: Promising Drama
Upon hearing Jane Sampson’s question, Bright Sampton immediately felt that, hmm, there was potential for drama!
"Sister, my teammate wants to say hello to you," Bright Sampton said as he moved closer to Jane Sampson and shook his mobile phone, "A WhatsAPP group video call, the kind without a mask."
Jane Sampson had the word "okay" on her lips, and she quickly suppressed it back.
"The kind without a mask?" Jane asked. "From what you’re saying, do they know who I am?"
"Yeah, they do," Bright Sampton nodded candidly. "I just posted two very flashy tweets, so they all know now."
"Very flashy?" Jane’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, and then she quickly logged onto twitter and went directly to Bright Sampton’s feed from her followed friends list.
She immediately saw through the avatar that Bright Sampton had changed his nickname and didn’t know when.
Little Jane’s brother FOU?
This nickname was not only flashy, it was downright blinding.
Clicking into Bright Sampton’s twitter, Jane took a quick look and then understood why Bright had said his posts were flashy.
The pinned tweet included a video. After reading the text, Jane clicked to watch the video, "So, you were fumbling around on the computer just now because you were editing this video?"
"Yeah, not bad editing skills, right?" Bright Sampton said with a smile and a nod.
"Do you realize what it means for you to post this?" Jane felt a headache coming on. She had just refused her aunt’s suggestion to publicly announce that Bright Sampton was her brother, but then Bright had gone ahead and revealed it on twitter himself.
"It means I can slap you in the face, a bunch of keyboard warriors on the internet realm constantly throwing dirt at you," Bright Sampton was quite upset. "In my heart, sis, you are like a delicate lotus."
"In this day and age, being called a delicate lotus really isn’t a compliment," Jane drew in a breath. "Have you read yourself stupid? By revealing yourself like this, you’ll attract a lot of attention wherever you go in the future, and you’ll end up like me, having to disguise yourself every time you go out, or you’ll get mobbed by people."
"Sis, you’re really confident in yourself," Bright Sampton knew what Jane was worried about, so he deliberately teased her, "Who knows, maybe you’ll be passé someday, unloved by anyone." Bright laughed mischievously.
"You’re overthinking it. I’m someone who aims to be a Movie Queen. Your brother-in-law is rooting for me to get that crown of Movie Queen as soon as possible," Jane chuckled. "So, one day, I will be a household name."
Jane spoke seriously, "I’m not joking with you. The tweet you posted was too impulsive. Think about the freedom you’ll lose, and one day you’ll regret it."
"Sis, I’m not worried, so you shouldn’t be either. Not now, nor in the future. I’ll be similar to you." Bright Sampton said, "You aim to be a Movie Queen, and I aim to be the King of the Team. Today, I just used your fame to get noticed. If it weren’t today, it would have been another day. Sooner or later, our team’s glory will bring me attention."
"Like our team leader," Bright continued, "nowadays, he also basically wears a mask when he goes out."
Bright Sampton patted Jane Sampson on the shoulder. "Sis, really, don’t worry. Why can’t you think that your brother could be shamelessly leveraging your popularity? Look how fast my twitter follower count is increasing now? I’m really enjoying this."
Jane Sampson shook her head. What’s done is done, so saying anything was useless.
