Chapter 2156 - 2164: Buying a Daytime Dream
"I’ve given you all of me already, what else do you want?" Jane Sampson looked up at James Black, kicking the small stone at her foot side with a face of grievance and innocence, "I have no money, I’m so poor, I can’t afford anything."
"Take your time thinking, I’ll wait slowly too." James Black rubbed her head, "Those cards for the past holidays, when are you planning to make it up to me?"
"Is this the real reason you wanted to take me for a walk tonight?" Romance lasts no more than three seconds, Jane Sampson pouted, "I’ll make it up to you when we get back."
"As an adult, you need to keep your promises, so Jane Sampson, you have no reason not to be happy." James Black felt there was nothing wrong with asking.
Those overdue cards that haven’t been received yet, they are deserved by him.
"James Black, we both received nine-year compulsory education, how come you’re so excellent?" Jane Sampson rolled her eyes.
Not a single word of sweet talk has been learned.
There’s not even a hint of wisdom the day after tomorrow.
So frustrating.
Too annoying!
"From the sound of it, that doesn’t seem like a compliment," James Black frowned, "What do you mean?"
"I’m praising your excellence~" Jane Sampson giggled, "It’s good if you don’t understand because it’s new vocabulary."
"If you weren’t smiling so slyly, I might have believed it." James Black snorted; though he didn’t understand, he didn’t plan to ask questions endlessly.
"You’re heading into the film crew the day after tomorrow." James Black asked, "How well do you know the script?"
"It won’t delay filming." Jane Sampson nodded, satisfied with her memory, yet she couldn’t help but glance at James Black again, knowing she had to leave the day after tomorrow.
"Sister Bell said, the director said, your scenes might wrap up filming estimate in one week, so the day after tomorrow, I’ll go with you." James Black said, "I have a holiday, but after finishing this holiday, for the next two years, there might not be any holidays."
Jane Sampson was really overjoyed and then saddened.
"This time I’ll go with you, later, when you have free time, be proactive and come to the guard team to accompany me." James Black held Jane Sampson’s hand and continued walking forward.
"Whether I go to the guard team to keep you company depends on whether you’ll treat me well recently!" Jane Sampson immediately changed to a smug smile.
"What counts as treating you well?" James Black knew what Jane Sampson would answer but still wanted to tease her, hearing her speak with that boastful tone of a villain.
"Buy me milk tea, buy me chocolate, buy me dessert, buy me fried chicken, buy me double-layer milk curd, buy me..." Jane Sampson counted earnestly on her fingers.
"How about buying you a daydream?" James Black pinched Jane Sampson’s nose, "There are quite a few demands, so you’ll need to have a good dream tonight."
Jane Sampson reached out and hit James Black, hitting him twice. Seeing his eyelid didn’t twitch a bit, she suddenly laughed, "Are you so thick-skinned that you can’t feel pain?"
"It’s your strength that’s small, like tickling." James Black dismissed, "Thin arms and lower legs, when you wrap up filming, I’ll train you well."
Jane Sampson made a funny face at James Black, pushed him away, turned, and ran back.
"I’m hungry all over again, not walking anymore, I’m going back! You walk slowly by yourself, bye-bye~" Leaving behind one sentence and a laugh carried by the wind, Jane Sampson’s voice gradually vanished from James Black’s sight.
