Chapter 2166 - 2174: Post-Graduation Breakup Season
"Exactly, if she feels wronged, she can just leave. When others are saying she’s unlucky, why is she putting on a face of aggrieved acceptance? It’s not Sister Jane’s fault either, okay?" Harry Little Money chimed in, "If I were her, since I’ve stayed in this crew, when others say these things to me, I wouldn’t let them feel I’m very aggrieved. Since I’ve stayed, I should take it as an exercise for myself, as an opportunity to learn from seniors."
Harry continued, "There are quite a few old predecessors in our crew. If she can calm down, ask more questions, study more, in the future, there will be plenty of benefits for her. What she learns will be hers for a lifetime. By building good relationships with these people in the crew and leaving a good impression, if anyone gets the chance to promote or help her, they’d gladly give her the opportunity."
"Like our Sister Jane, she has had quite a few recommendations from seniors that different studios had collaborated with before, all because our Sister Jane is a good person. Those seniors have a good impression of her, so when opportunities arise, they think of her first," Harry said proudly.
"Alright, stop it, even I’m getting embarrassed listening to this. If others hear it, they’d think I paid you to say that," Jane Sampson covered her face with the cards, "I can’t play this, I’ll pass. Harry, what about you?"
"That’s such a big airplane, how could I play it? Pass!" Harry’s attention snapped back to the cards, getting a bit anxious, "I missed another card! Sister Coco, they say, lucky at cards, unlucky in love. If you keep winning like this, you’ll be single for a lifetime!"
As soon as Harry finished speaking, Coco Edwards and Jane Sampson both seamlessly asked, "So, does this mean you have a boyfriend? Is it because you’re lucky in love that you’re so unlucky at cards?"
"Yeah, I have a boyfriend," Harry admitted openly. "My ex, we ran into each other again recently and got back together."
"A good horse doesn’t go back to graze on old grass, and you’re doing it with such pride?" Coco Edwards asked, "Why did you break up before? Was he bad?"
"University graduation breakup season, everyone went their own way, there’s no ’why’ needed," Harry replied with a slightly embarrassed smile.
"Graduation breakup season, what does that mean?" Jane Sampson found the term quite novel.
"It means exactly what it says, breaking up when graduating," Coco Edwards affectionately touched Jane Sampson’s face, "Like our little Jane, who was swept away by daddy Black right after graduating, of course, doesn’t know what it means."
"Tsk~" Jane Sampson pushed away Coco Edwards’ hand and turned to ask Harry, "If two people like each other, why break up and go separate ways after graduation?"
"Because he wanted to go back to his hometown to develop, didn’t want to stay here. He said life at home is stable and pressure-free, and he wanted to return home to take the civil servant exam," Harry explained, "It’s just a personal choice."
"Did he pass?" Coco Edwards asked, "Did he come back to reconcile with you because he passed or because he failed?"
"He said he didn’t take the exam. After going back, he still couldn’t let me go, so he simply didn’t take it. This way, his dad and mom couldn’t force him, and he could come back to find me," Harry said, seeing the look on Coco Edwards’ face as if doubting something, and couldn’t help but emphasize, "He’s a really nice person, ambitious, and treats me well."
