Chapter 2222 - 2230: Time for Revenge

Originally, Jane Sampson said she would have James Black drive over to pick up Coco Edwards, but Coco Edwards said it wasn’t necessary; she would come over herself.

"I saw it; someone brought Coco Edwards here." Nina Rice pushed away Alexander Forest and leaned in, "A guy! And he’s very handsome!"

When Nina was parking, she happened to see Coco Edwards get out of a taxi, followed by another guy. The guy stood outside the car, watching Coco Edwards enter the reception center before returning to the taxi and asking the driver to drive away.

"Coco Edwards, you’ve got something going on!" Jane Sampson’s eyes suddenly sparkled with gossip.

Not bothering to fish with James Black anymore, she dragged Coco Edwards, called on Nina and Jasmine Seven, and the girls ran over to the seats, sitting around Coco Edwards, their eyes fixated on her.

"Confess and you’ll be better off, resist and it won’t end well. So, who was the delivery guy who brought you here?" Jane Sampson crossed her arms, grinning mischievously.

"It’s nobody." Coco Edwards, feeling awkward under the three girls’ gaze, said, "It’s Grid."

"Yo, yo, yo~"

"Wow~"

"Yo-ho~"

The three girls let out knowing laughs in unison.

Then, as Coco Edwards blushed, Jasmine Seven broke the mood by asking, "Who’s Grid?"

Nina nodded: "Same question."

"Grid came to Capital Province too?" Jane Sampson was surprised by this, "He’s out of the hospital? How’s his recovery?"

"He’s been out of the hospital for some time. The doctor said that with slow recovery, it won’t have much of an impact later." Coco Edwards replied.

"That’s good." Jane Sampson was happy for Grid.

"Speaking of which, since when did you become so close with Grid? He even takes a taxi just to bring you here? If I’m not mistaken, Grid still has trouble walking, right?" Jane Sampson put her hand on Coco Edwards’ shoulder, leaning in, "Confess and you’ll be better off, resist and it won’t end well~"

"Yeah, I saw him holding a walking stick when he got out of the car." Nina nodded.

"It was during that period when he was injured and hospitalized. I learned from Ratty that he didn’t have any family. Seeing him alone in the hospital with only a caregiver, I felt he was quite pitiful."

"During that period when you had your incident, I couldn’t help with your situation. If I didn’t find something else to do, I’d just overthink every day, so I forced myself to go to the market daily, buy groceries, and make three meals a day to bring to the hospital for him, just to keep myself busy."

Coco Edwards, feeling a bit embarrassed, glanced at Jane Sampson, "Later I got used to it. During his hospital stay, I took care of all his three meals and late-night snacks. By the time he was discharged, I had fattened him up quite a bit."

The three girls were stunned for a few seconds, then burst into laughter.

"When I returned to Capital Province, he had already been discharged and said he wanted to return to Capital Province with me. Seeing he had trouble with his legs, I specially waited a day for him, and we returned to Capital Province together." Coco Edwards said, "The day we got off the airplane, he even took a taxi to drop me off at my home doorway, and that’s how he found out where I lived. These days, it’s him who’s been cooking and delivering meals to my house."

"You fattened me up, so I have to repay this grudge. I want to make you plump and chubby too. If we’re going to get fat, we’ll get fat together!" Jane Sampson touched her chin, and seriously commented, "Nothing wrong with this approach."

Jasmine Seven and Nina both rolled their eyes at Jane Sampson.

How could such a romantic thing sound so off when it came out of Jane Sampson’s mouth?
