Chapter 2227 - 2236: No Need for You to Catch Me
"The stuff from the Miller family, even if it’s thrown at my feet, I wouldn’t even bother to lift an eyelid to look at it," James Black laughed. "In the past, when I stepped out of the Miller family’s main gate, I cut off all ties with them. The people from the Miller family are outsiders to me, naturally, I also think I’m an outsider to them."
"I’m not interested in the Miller family’s stuff either. Handle it however you like, just never bother me about it," he said, and suddenly moved his body.
Instead of leaving, he suddenly climbed up the tree with swift movements.
In the entertainment room, Quincy Forest was casually looking outside, unexpectedly witnessing this scene.
She was so surprised that she didn’t even play the cards in her hand, holding them and staring in shock, "I finally know where Jane Sampson got her tree-climbing skills."
"What are you talking about?" Jane Sampson said, her luck in cards was too good, making her smile so brightly it was slightly annoying to Quincy Forest.
"Turn your head and look outside, your James Black is climbing a tree! Oh my god, I just looked up and saw him swiftly darting up the tree, faster even than when you climbed in the past! My goodness! Are you guys a comedic couple sent by monkeys?" Quincy Forest pulled Jane Sampson’s arm and asked, "Why is James Black climbing the tree?"
"Oh my, little Jane, your James Black isn’t hiding from Rachel Miller up the tree, is he?" Over there, Oscar Wilson suddenly shouted, "Rachel Miller is under the tree."
"Could it be that James Black went up the tree to pick fruit for Rachel Miller?" Quincy Forest speculated.
"Impossible." Jane Sampson shook her head without even thinking.
"My brother would more likely pick poison for Rachel Miller, no way he’s picking fruit for him," Peter Gingery rolled his eyes, voice dripping with disdain, hiding from Rachel Miller is even less likely.
James Black, feeling impatient with people, would basically just ignore them.
Not paying them any mind.
The group of people had finished playing table tennis and wasn’t interested in mahjong either, as they all rushed outside to watch.
"James Black, what are you doing up in the tree?" Jane Sampson stood under the tree, looking up curiously at James Black.
"Why is everyone gathering over here?" James Black furrowed his brows and told Jane Sampson, "I’m going to jump down."
Jane Sampson let out a sound, instinctively stretching out both her hands, silly as ever, responding: "Then I’ll catch you."
James Black laughed out loud from the tree.
"Move back a few steps, no need for you to catch me." Jane Sampson’s instinctive reaction was really too funny, if there weren’t so many people watching the commotion, James Black would’ve teased her more.
Jane Sampson nodded, obediently stepping back several steps.
Peter Gingery sneered at her, "My brother needs you to catch him? Just look at your thin arms and legs, don’t you know how capable you are?"
Jane Sampson realized she made a fool of herself.
"It was just instinctive, I didn’t have time to think," Jane Sampson defended herself.
Thinking about it now, she indeed acted foolishly by stretching out her hands.
James Black is a big guy, if he jumped down and she tried to catch him, she’d be crushed considering his size.
The tree wasn’t low, but James Black only needed one hand to support the tree trunk, effortlessly jumping down as if stepping on flat ground.
After landing, he extended another hand towards Jane Sampson with his palm open, revealing a red fruit lying there.
"Here you go, this is the biggest and reddest fruit on this tree, take it and wash it, see if it tastes good."
