Chapter 637 - 645: New Lollipop

Coco Edwards’ photography skills were totally on point, and Jane Sampson was very pleased after glancing at a few snaps.

"OK, thanks a lot. You should head back to your room and rest too," said Jane Sampson as she meticulously placed the candy on the sofa, packed it up, and accompanied Coco to the house entrance.

No sooner had she seen off Coco than Jane darted to the bed, took out her mobile phone, and started furiously updating her Moments.

In City S’s cyber-popular candy store, someone wouldn’t let me eat too much candy, so I thought about it and negotiated with him. I wouldn’t eat the lollipop he gave me but would instead eat a new one I bought.

He approved.

He is awesome!

After composing her post, Jane swiftly published it and then lay on the bed, clutching her phone and grinning like an idiot while waiting for that certain someone’s call.

At the guard team’s quarters.

James Black was on the phone handling some matters, and the call was a lengthy one, lasting more than half an hour, only ending around 10 p.m. as he prepared to take a bath.

Before putting down his phone, he casually clicked on WhatsApp and noticed a new Moments notification. Since Jane was his only WhatsApp friend, it could only mean that Jane had posted a new moments update.

When James opened Moments, he expected to see photos of the candy shop Jane had been raving about on the phone earlier.

But when the feed refreshed, the first thing James saw was the text Jane had posted.

Seeing that nearly every line mentioned him, although she used "someone" as a substitute, James knew she was referring to him, and so, the corners of his mouth lifted ever so slightly.

After reading the text content twice, James then clicked to view the photos Jane had posted.

Upon opening the first one, he stood there, stunned.

The first picture showed Jane happily holding her newly bought lollipop for the camera, her smile so wide that her eyes had turned into crescents.

Yes, she was indeed holding the new lollipop.

In the second photo, Jane had covered her entire face with the lollipop, to the extent that even the hood she was wearing was obscured.

"Jane Sampson!" James gritted his teeth as he viewed the images. That woman, she had been playing coy with him on the phone!

Pretending to be all innocent, asking for his permission to eat the new lollipop she’d bought.

But!

Jane hadn’t told him that her "new lollipop" was bigger than her face!

No, it was even bigger than the basin he used to wash vegetables in the kitchen!

It’s like the saying goes: Spare the rod and spoil the child!

She needs a lesson!

James immediately exited WhatsApp and dialed Jane’s number.

Whether out of guilt or something else, the woman on the other end let the phone ring for a long time before answering.

"What’s up?" Jane’s voice came through, feigning sleepiness as if she had been woken up.

James snorted. The Moments post had been made just twenty-some minutes ago; there was no way Jane would have gone to bed so early!

She must have forgotten to hide the post from him and was now feeling guilty!

"Jane Sampson, it seems you’re itching for a spanking." James practically spat out every word, including her three-word name, through gritted teeth.

"What did I do? I’ve been very good, alright!" Jane protested in a tone pretending ignorance, and after finishing her sentence, she haughtily hmphed, "Are you drunk? You ramble when you’re drunk, just like grandpa used to!"
