Chapter 774 - 782: Going to Play Without Me
"A person who doesn’t even take me out to play has no right to eat the food I cook!" Jane Sampson huffed angrily, "Starve yourself!"
Having said that, Jane got up, found the spot farthest away from James Black, and sat down with her bowl, burying her little face in it as she ate voraciously as if only in this way could she alleviate some of her frustration.
She had been worrying so much about him, fearing that he would get hurt if he went somewhere crowded and someone bumped into his hand.
She had also worried whether him staying here with her would affect his important duties in the guard team.
And now, after cooking a nice meal, she had been waiting at home, starving, for him to return so they could eat together!
But in the end, he went out to have fun without her!
James Black was stunned, quite surprised that Jane would suddenly lose her temper. Watching her bury her head to eat and recalling the tone of her voice just now, James was certain that Jane was truly upset.
Her multiple confirmations just now, asking if he and Alexander Forest were going out to play, must have meant she was already somewhat unhappy.
Alexander was also bewildered, and it suddenly hit him that he might have brought up a subject he shouldn’t have.
"Well, I’m full. I just remembered I have something urgent to do, I have to go." Alexander put down his chopsticks, pushed back his chair, and took off running.
Tonight’s dinner probably didn’t sit well with the conversation, did it?
After Alexander left, Jane quickly finished her meal, collected her and Alexander’s bowls and chopsticks, and washed them in the kitchen.
When Jane went into the kitchen, James followed her in. He stood behind her the whole time she was busy.
Only after Jane had put the cleaned dishes and utensils into the disinfection cabinet did he call out, "Jane Sampson."
Jane gave James a sidelong glance, pouted her lips, and turned her head to bypass him as she marched upstairs.
When the baby is unhappy, the consequences are serious!
After leaving James downstairs, Jane returned to her bedroom and picked up the script, but people in a foul mood can’t concentrate on work.
So, Jane simply picked up her mobile phone and started playing a game.
Peter Gingery saw that Jane had logged onto the game and immediately sent her a private message through the game’s friends chat.
My brother got discharged, didn’t he? It must be hard taking care of my brother all by yourself, right? — Little Protein Prince.
I am very angry right now, don’t mention him to me. The more you talk about him, the more upset I get. — Princess Egg-Yolk.
What happened? Did my brother upset you again? — Little Protein Prince.
Peter Gingery in the dormitory was snickering to himself when he sent this message, curious about what his brother had done this time.
He went to the auction event and took Alexander, but left me here all alone at home! Humph! — Princess Egg-Yolk.
He went out to have fun and didn’t take someone as cute as you? You have the right to be angry! — Little Protein Prince.
Peter was simply enjoying the drama without worrying about the consequences.
However, after replying to Jane, Peter privately mused, why would James Black suddenly take an interest in something like an auction event?
If it was just an auction event, and Jane wanted to go, logically speaking, James would have taken Jane with him.
Do you think he feels I’m not presentable enough, that taking me out would embarrass him? — Princess Egg-Yolk.
My goodness, are all your women’s minds this amazing? Maybe he just thought the auction would be crowded and messy, and now that you’re in a different situation, a lot of people are watching you. Perhaps he was worried you’d be photographed if you went? — Little Protein Prince.
