Chapter 793 - 801: Hiding What?
After a good night’s sleep, Jane Sampson opened her eyes and was surprised to find that James Black was still sleeping.
For her, this was nothing short of a miracle; she had never seen James Black sleep in.
After sitting up, Jane Sampson held her face in her hands and stared at the sleeping James.
James, in his sleep, had a less harsh aura about him, lying there quietly, not exerting the strong oppressive force he usually did.
Lying there with a relaxed expression.
Jane giggled softly, pursing her lips, unable to resist the urge to kiss him, but just as she was about to touch his lips, she suddenly remembered how vigilant James was, and that a kiss would surely wake him.
So, Jane restrained herself again, only her lips a few centimeters from his, and then she whispered, "Hehe, King Black, good morning!"
James hadn’t woken up yet, and Jane hadn’t expected a response from him; she just cheerily got out of bed, initially planning to go straight to wash up, but then, as she reached the doorway of the cloakroom, she suddenly remembered something else and turned back into the cloakroom.
After Jane entered the cloakroom, the man who had been lying in the bed with his eyes closed suddenly opened them. There was no trace of sleepiness in those eyes.
King Black?
Heh.
James silently curved the corners of his mouth, thinking she was becoming increasingly unruly.
He had thought she would kiss him, but instead of snagging a morning kiss from his young wife, he got called King Black.
Watching Jane get up early in the morning, not to wash up but to head into the cloakroom, James sat up in bed and waited for over a minute; still not seeing Jane come out, he then went off the bed and walked towards the cloakroom.
"Early in the morning, not going to wash up, what are you doing in here?" James stood behind Jane, only to see her holding a small box, giggling in a hushed voice, joyously laughing at something.
And she had no idea when James had stood behind her.
Jane got a jolt, instinctively snapped the box shut, then pressed half of her body down on the small box. Without turning her head, she quickly shook her head, "I’m not doing anything! I haven’t done anything!"
After speaking, she quickly stuffed the small box back into her suitcase and put the suitcase back in its place, then stood up and turned to look at James behind her, using a tone both guilty and questioning, "When did you get up? How come I didn’t hear you walking?"
Seeing him barefoot, Jane quickly found words to say, "You’re actually walking on the floor barefoot without shoes!"
Just like James often scolded her, Jane scolded him a few times in return.
She muttered to herself, wondering why she hadn’t heard his footsteps; perhaps he was deliberately trying to scare her.
"I woke up when you called me King Black," James replied seriously to Jane.
Watching Jane immediately tighten her little face, not saying a word, James glanced at the suitcase beside her, raised his eyebrows, "Early in the morning, holding a box and giggling? What’s hidden inside the box?"
"No..." Jane quickly denied, "It’s just an empty box!"
With a shaking head and waving hands, her guilty expression was something James was far from believing.
