Chapter 804 - 812: Gender Incompatibility
Mair Williams, who was all smiles just a moment ago, had her expression sour instantly when Jane Sampson brought up that question.
"Don’t even mention it. He rejected me. It broke my heart," Mair acted like a young wife clutching her small chest and said, "He told me that we’re not from the same world, that we’re not suitable for each other. I was nearly infuriated to death by his answer."
Mair fumed and asked Jane, "Little Jane, tell me, how are Liam Woody and I not suitable? In what ways are we not suitable? How are we not from the same world? Could it be I live on Earth and he lives on Mars? Or is it that I live in the 21st Century and he lives in ancient times?"
After thinking it over, Jane nodded profoundly and then asked seriously, "Could it be that he thinks your genders aren’t suitable? After all, if the genders aren’t the same, where’s the true love?"
"Pfft~" Mair almost spat out her juice but managed to choke on it instead.
"Don’t you agree?" Jane tilted her head and asked Mair.
"It makes some sense." Mair supported her forehead with her hand and then suddenly became very serious, "You know, the guard team is all men, isn’t there a saying that goes around at the team base? ’Three years as a soldier, and even a sow would rival Diana the beauty.’ How many years has Liam been a soldier? Could he have developed an illness from all that suppression? Spending all day with the colorful male demons in the guard team, could he have been assimilated?"
"Hard to say." Jane put on a thoughtful face very seriously, "Think about it. Seeing men with eight-pack abs all day, watching their robust bodies and vigorous, powerful training—it’s hard for anyone not to feel stirred, right?"
After a pause, Jane lowered her voice and whispered to Mair, "Do you dare admit when we were recording the show at the guard team base, watching those shirtless little brothers training or playing ball, did you keep your eyes in check? I’ll be honest; I didn’t keep mine in check."
Mair shook her head unconsciously, "Neither did I."
Mair thought about that scene and sighed, "Trying to keep the eyes in check is too hard."
After speaking, Mair was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly said, "Then I need to ask him. If I were to get a sex change, would there still be a chance to pursue him?"
Having said that, Mair left. Her mobile phone was with her assistant, so she went to get her mobile phone to immediately send Liam a WhatsApp message to ask him this question.
Mair rushed off, and Jane slowly, very slowly, stretched a smile across her face.
When Mair’s figure was no longer visible, Jane turned around, planning to find James Carter. But as she turned, her gaze casually shifted to her side, and she paused.
It took her a moment to recover, and then she walked over to the man who was also watching her and greeted, "Mr. Forest, what a coincidence to see you here."
Now the question was, how long had Kane Forest been there? How much of the nonsense she and Mair were talking about had he heard?
Had she just said something she shouldn’t have?
Jane carefully thought about it, and her heart sank. It seemed like none of what she said had been serious.
So, a new question arose. Kane presumably wouldn’t tell James Black about it, would he?
Although Kane and Alexander Forest were cousins, Kane seemed rather aloof, probably not the chatty type who would tattle to James like Alexander would.
If James knew she had talked about his soldiers like that, he really might retaliate.
