Chapter 834 - 842 You Heard It All
After he had finished speaking, James Black stared at the woman below who hadn’t managed to put on a shoe in one minute, but then he suddenly became very efficient and put on his shoe without even undoing the laces.
"James Black, you’re really great!"
After putting on her shoes, the woman stood up, hugged the man behind her, tiptoed and kissed him on his cold face, and then, giggling, took her purse back from his hands.
"Let’s go! Let’s go! Let’s leave early or we’ll get stuck in traffic again." The person who was initially reluctant to leave was now urging James Black to hurry.
James Black chuckled coldly only after he had followed Jane Sampson into the car.
Only at times like this would she compliment him—James Black, you’re really great.
In her eyes, her husband wasn’t even as good as the ice cream she loved.
Really...
Really needs a tidying up.
Since they left the guard team base a bit after five o’clock, entered the city district, and encountered the rush hour, Jane Sampson and he unsurprisingly got stuck in traffic.
Jane Sampson’s face didn’t show the slightest bit of impatience as she turned to glance at James Black, who had been quietly sitting in the passenger seat, while she kept her eyes on the road ahead.
"How about after dinner I drop you off at the guard team base? That way you won’t have to get up too early tomorrow morning," Jane Sampson casually suggested, thinking it would be easier for him since his left hand was still inconvenient to use.
Unexpectedly, James Black glanced at her with displeasure and retorted, "So you want me to go back early?"
Jane Sampson laughed and quickly shook her head, explaining seriously, "No, I’m just worried about you."
James Black’s expression eased a bit, and he was just about to speak when his mobile phone suddenly rang.
Seeing the caller, James Black immediately answered the phone.
"James Black, that ’honest little fairy’ who always told the truth suddenly deleted her Twitter and even deactivated her account. However, I still found the last logged address of the account," said the person on the phone, who then abruptly asked, "Is your wife listening?"
It was very quiet inside the car, and Jane Sampson immediately heard the person on the phone mention her, so she quickly looked at James Black and asked in a low voice, "Are you talking about me?"
James Black reached out to touch Jane Sampson’s head, the corner of his lips slightly curved, and then he told the person on the phone, "Go ahead."
"Okay, then I’ll continue," the person on the phone replied before continuing, "The last logged address of that ’honest little fairy’ turned out to be the Sampton Family, which is your wife’s maternal home."
After he had finished speaking, the man on the other end of the phone also seemed disappointed, "Who in the Sampton Family would do such a thing? It’s harmful to others and not beneficial to oneself. You should warn your wife to be wary of the people from the Sampton Family. I’ve found all I can, I’ll hang up now."’
The phone quickly went dead with a buzzing sound, and James Black then put away his mobile phone, turned his head to look at Jane Sampson, and asked, "Did you hear all that?"
Jane Sampson’s expression was calm as she hummed, "It must be Julie Sampton."
Only Julie Sampton would do something that harms others but doesn’t benefit herself. She posted, and then quickly, feeling guilty, deleted the tweet.
"Since it’s been deleted, let’s not bother with it," Jane Sampson’s eyes slowly moved away from James Black’s face. Seeing that the cars in front were starting to move, she drove forward a little and then said, "Sister Tin will take care of it on the internet."’
