Chapter 897 - 905 Forget When Said
It was quiet for two seconds before she hastily added, "I used your card to buy him some stuff, and I also transferred ten thousand to my own card, then I gave that card to Bright Sampton. When I have money, I’ll pay you back."
After Jane Sampson bought James Black a watch, she was literally penniless.
She couldn’t even afford a mobile phone, so all her expenses today, including the ten thousand she gave to Bright Sampton, were charged to James Black’s card.
"No need, he calls me brother-in-law. Buying him some stuff and giving him some pocket money is only right," James Black showed no interest in how much money Jane Sampson had spent and what she had bought for Bright Sampton.
All he wanted to know was what Jane Sampson had done when she went out this morning.
Jane bent her eyebrows into a smile, thinking that once she had the money, she still ought to repay James Black.
She was helping Bright Sampton because she was his sister.
Not informing James Black beforehand that she was spending this money on Bright Sampton was also not quite proper.
"Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on in your mind right now." James Black stood up and gently tapped Jane’s forehead with his index finger, "My money is your money, and your younger brother is also my younger brother."
After saying that, James Black looked at the watch on his wrist and then said, "Hungry? Let’s go to the dining hall to eat."
"Sure," Jane nodded her head. It was clearly too late to cook now, and after walking around all morning, she was really hungry.
"It’s hot outside, put on your hood," James Black reminded her, and after Jane put on her hood, he led her out the door.
The sun was most intense at noon, and as Jane walked by James Black’s side, she wished she could shrink entirely into his shadow; all along the way, she was practically stepping in his footsteps.
"In the future, no matter how hurried you are, remember to tell me in advance before you go out," said James Black, glancing sideways at the woman whose steps trembled beside him, "I don’t want to hear you explaining to me again that you forgot about me."
"Hmm~" Jane Sampson, overheated and sweating profusely, was so scorched by the sun that she didn’t even feel like speaking, so after James Black finished talking, she just hummed through her nose as a response.
"Jane Sampson, sometimes you’re really something. I am your husband, we slept together just last night, and today you could say you forgot me." James Black’s tone was somewhat dark as he spoke, "If there is a next time, I will make sure you can’t forget even if you want to."
"Got it, got it," Jane responded quickly this time, not wanting to upset King Black by her side, otherwise, she might end up having to write a self-criticism report again.
As soon as the two walked into the dining hall, the team members noticed them, and Peter Gingery waved at Jane from a distance before he brought his dining plate over to join her and James Black.
"You really aren’t being fair, joining the guard team yesterday without telling me," Peter Gingery complained to Jane, "My teammate said you brought back a lot of vegetables. I don’t care, I am going to eat at your place this evening, no matter what you cook, there has to be a portion for me."
"I’ll be staying at the guard team for a few days, how about I make some tea eggs this afternoon?" Jane suddenly had an idea and asked with blinking eyes.
