Chapter 910 - 918 Guess Who I Am

~3 min read 552 words

"I’ll heat up breakfast for you, lie down a bit longer," James Black said as he passed the sofa, placing the backrest down and then taking the breakfast from the dinner table into the kitchen.

Jane Sampson then supported her aching back and stood up; she hadn’t washed up yet.

Yawning all the way to the bedroom and yawning all the way back out, even though she had washed her face, she still seemed lethargic.

Seeing Jane in this state, James felt a bit annoyed.

It was also her fault for being too seductive last night.

"Eat up, then go lie down in the room again," James said as he reached out and touched her head after she walked over.

Jane shook her head, unclear whether she was nodding or shaking, but then she reached out to James and said, "My mobile phone is charging, lend me yours to play with for a bit."

James instinctively wanted to scold her for playing with the mobile phone during meals, but seeing Jane’s blinking eyes and thinking of last night’s events, he still handed over his phone.

Nothing else mattered; what was important was to soothe her first. He guessed she might still be holding a grudge, so he had to placate her first.

After taking the phone, Jane first downloaded a video software onto James’s phone. When it finished downloading, she tapped it, and just then, a new message came in unexpectedly. Jane inadvertently opened this new message.

Then, Jane awkwardly read the message on James’s phone.

"Mr. Black, hello, guess who I am."

The message was from a phone number, not one saved in James’s phone book.

Jane turned to look at James, who was attentively using one hand to serve her buns, oblivious to what she had just done.

Only when she looked at him that way did James notice her gaze.

It was an indescribable gaze.

"What’s up?" James casually asked.

Jane pointed at James’s mobile phone, "I should make it clear, I didn’t mean to snoop on your text message. It was really an accident."

"What?" James walked around from the opposite side of the dinner table and sat down next to Jane, only then looking at his own mobile phone.

"’Mr. Black, hello, guess who I am,’" Jane voiced in an overly coquettish tone, mimicking the text message.

James furrowed his brows, "Talk properly."

Jane poked at James’s right hand, "Who is this little demon you’ve hooked up with? Still playing guess who I am! Go on, Mr. Black, give me a guess!"

James firmly wrapped Jane’s mischievous hand in his palm.

"How would I know who this is?" James said, "Just blacklist this person."

Everyone knew that James didn’t have a habit of texting. Even before WhatsApp became popular, he disliked it; his personality was such that if something needed discussing, a phone call to clear things up would suffice. Anyone who dared text him would be scolded, and he would never have the patience to text someone back and forth.

This trait of his was exemplified in his dislike for using WhatsApp, and he didn’t even use WhatsApp before he registered an account for Jane.

Without a word, Jane took her hand back from James, hugged his mobile phone, and obediently helped him blacklist the number.
