Chapter 925 - 933: You disappeared
Listening to the person on his back seemingly agreeing with him with a compliment, James Black didn’t want to talk to the drunk anymore, not even one more word.
Jane Sampson was very light, James could carry her steadily on his back with just one hand, watching her slender lower legs gently sway by his waist, James thought that he should probably feed her more in the future.
A 20-something-year-old person, so thin; wouldn’t she just be blown away by a gust of wind?
James, carrying the person, entered the elevator. The person in his arms leaned her head on his shoulder, and as if discovering something, blew into his ear, then, suddenly bit his ear.
Not hard.
But the next second, he heard her spit several times and mutter, "Not tasty."
"Jane Sampson, behave yourself!" James shook the person on his shoulder, threatening, "Keep up the fuss, and I’ll throw you out of the building!"
"Don’t~." The person on his back clung tightly to his neck, coquettishly saying, "I smell so nice, I’ll get carried away by wild cats."
Nice smelling?
That was just a little drunkard.
Finally home, James carried the person straight into the bedroom and placed her on the bed. Jane Sampson lay on the bed, grinned at him, then bent her legs, and shook them at James, "Look, I found my legs back!"
She was wearing a dress, and when she bent her legs, the hem slid up to her waist. James glanced over and noticed the red marks on the inner side of her thighs.
They were marks he had left unintentionally the night before.
James’s eyes slightly darkened, he reached out to adjust her dress hem, turned around to get her pajamas, and then patted her arm, "Change into your pajamas, and go to sleep quickly."
Only then did Jane Sampson sit up hugging his arm, obediently nodded, but the words she spoke were not at all obedient.
"Did I take a bath? I need to bathe before sleeping."
With that said, she stood up and unsteadily made her way toward the bathroom.
James followed her into the bathroom, sighing deeply.
Who said she becomes quiet and doesn’t fuss when drunk?
This was quite a fuss.
The person, who demanded a bath, entered the bathroom and climbed into an empty bathtub still clothed, acting as if she was enjoying it.
James stood next to her and watched for nearly a minute, and finally, her antics amused him; he lifted her out, ran some water, and even helped her bathe before finally managing to tuck her into bed in her pajamas.
By the time Jane Sampson lay on the bed sleeping soundly, James was completely drenched.
James thought, if anyone dared to let Jane Sampson drink again in the future, he definitely would not let that person off easily.
When James finished cleaning himself up and came out of the bathroom, the person who had already been lying down asleep had sat up again, her eyes red and looking around, tears brimming at the base of her eyes, about to fall.
"What’s wrong? Feeling unwell?" James hurried over and touched her forehead with his hand.
"You disappeared," Jane Sampson said with a voice full of sobbing to James, "You can’t abandon me."
"I didn’t abandon you," James got onto the bed and comfortingly held the inexplicably sobbing person in his arms, "I’m right here, hold me tight."
The initial helplessness he felt toward the little drunkard suddenly turned into heartache upon hearing her say, ’you can’t abandon me.’
When people are drunk, they are at their most vulnerable and unguarded.
Alcohol can strip away the disguises of a lifetime, including strength and smiles.
