Chapter 966 - 974: Isolated
This time along the way, Jane Sampson noticed that many people on the film set were giving her strange looks.
"What’s going on?" Jane Sampson returned to her seat, turned her head, and asked Coco Edwards, "I just stepped out to exchange a few words with Mair Williams, so why are these people looking at me weirdly? Could it be that my makeup is smeared, or my clothes are torn?"
"No." Coco Edwards shook her head, then pushed Jane’s mobile phone directly in front of her, "Today, I don’t know where the paparazzi took photos of our set, claiming that you were isolated by the entire crew, and they even took photos of Amber Edwards giving everyone tangerines, but you were the only one who didn’t get any. You’ve been completely isolated by the people of the crew."
Jane Sampson raised her eyebrows, scanned the Twitter, and sure enough, it was just as Coco Edwards had said. Among the photos was one showing her sitting and talking with Coco Edwards and Mona Calm. In other photos, everyone was holding a tangerine, and the tweet said, reportedly, the entire crew, except for an 18th-line actor named Mona Calm and Jane Sampson, stayed in contact.
"This person is really fast at updating; this just happened this morning, and it’s already posted? When were these taken? And so many pictures? From so many angles?" Jane was impressed by the blogger’s efficiency and upon a closer look, she recognized him, "Isn’t this the same blogger who last time said that my fruit was thrown away? It’s him again, really has a lot of scoop."
"I didn’t notice any reporters sneaking in today. How come nobody noticed with such a large number of photos taken?" Coco Edwards found it strange, "To prevent the leakage of information from our crew, our security measures are very strict."
The drama had just started filming, and for the sake of protecting some crucial information, security was a major concern for the crew, particularly emphasized by Director James Chip.
"If paparazzi were recognized as paparazzi, then they wouldn’t be called paparazzi," Mona Calm chimed in, "Maybe they were mixed in with the extras?"
"That’s possible." Coco nodded, then heard Director James Chip explode in anger not far away.
"What are the security guards here for! To let reporters sneak in? Just the second day into filming and they’ve already captured several characters’ costumes. Am I paying them to be mascots standing at the doorway?" Director James Chip was furious that the outfits of several protagonists had been exposed, especially Jane Sampson’s, which was the clearest.
After saying this, Director James Chip turned and sternly told Amber Edwards, "Amber Edwards, starting tomorrow, don’t let me see you bringing anything to the crew again! This is a film set, for filming, not a place for you to win over hearts!"
"What does this have to do with me?" Amber scoffed.
Director James Chip looked at Amber, suspecting in his heart that she might be behind this.
After all, who else could roam around the set taking photos if not one of their own?
Amber had the opportunity and the motive.
Wasn’t Amber’s giving out lipsticks, beverages, and fruits all meant to win over the crew to support her against Jane Sampson?
However, Director James Chip currently had no evidence, not enough to conclusively prove it, so he could only prevent Amber from continuing such minor tactics of winning over people on set.
Director James Chip was initially not prepared to intervene in the private issues between Amber Edwards and Jane Sampson, but since Amber had escalated the matter and it was affecting the normal work of the entire crew, he had to step in.
