Huff!\" Kai panted hard, his scarred chest rising and falling like Mt. Everest taking form and vanishing. \"So... hungry...\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>About the cracked bones, he cared little.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They would heal in an hour at most, he knew.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Working out like this lets him go beyond his capabilities every single time as doing anything else, or less, sounded pointless to him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai felt as if his throat was getting pricked by hundreds of needles from the inside.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>A fist-sized globule of water lifted from the stream, running down 10 feet behind his head, and dropped in his mouth.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Gulp!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After wetting his throat and spirit, Kai sat up in a meditative posture and closed his eyes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Hisss!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Blood flames seeped out of his mouth and covered his entire figure in a red veil.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With every breath, more blood flames kept coming out as if red dragons were coiling in his surroundings.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>10 minutes... 15 minutes... 20 minutes...\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>30 minutes... 31 minutes\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>35 minutes...\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Cough! Snap!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai snapped three times and all the wetness over him and on his trousers evaporated, his skin gaining a smooth, reddish tone.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was then Kai looked toward a dark corner.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As he walked forward, the darkness ran away.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Two creatures were lying listlessly there, their eyes dead, and their hearts hollow.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>One was a mouse-like Pokemon, with yellow fur and two brown stripes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The other was a small, pale-green Pokemon with dark-green buds around its neck. On top of its head was a large, green leaf that was longer than its body.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Pikachu and Chikorita!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai crouched and put both his palms on their heads.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>After 5 minutes, he took off his hands and shook his head, annoyed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"They don't know either,\" he mumbled aloud. \"The Troopers don't know... the Captains don't know... And the fucking Commanders don't come out of the headquarters...\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai squeezed his eyes as anxiety and anger bubbled in his heart.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But hunger came first.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>In no time, Kai kindled a fire and put the skinned meat over it to roast.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Two Pokemon could barely fill his rumbling stomach, but it would do for now.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As the smell of burning flesh entered Kai's nostrils, his gaze landed on the pillar of sunlight seeping into the cave.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He licked his lips.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It's time...\" Kai told himself, his eyes narrowing. \"I can't play the rat forever. I must know what's going on.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai clenched and unclenched his fingers, finding them healed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He feasted on Pikachu and Chikorita, then, devouring their flesh in just a few minutes.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As the evening approached, Kai had donned himself in armor made of several Pokemon's hide sewn together.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Over his head was the skull of a Yautja and six daggers were stuck to his back with no means.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Kai's breathing quickened.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Then, with a plop, he fell into his shadow.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"3 years...\" Kai mumbled, his head popping out from the shadow of a tree some three miles away. \"3 years have passed by... but no one's coming to kill me or even scout me. What's going on?!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Indeed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It's been over 3 years since Kai had returned from the Samurai's Hut to Island X.
