A few days later, just as Wang Yuping was watching the workers, Lin Bai happened to walk over.

Wang Yuping couldn't wait to share with Lin Bai.

"Where's Seeing Wei Xiang'an? Could something have happened at Green Mountain Peak recently?"

Only upon hearing the other's words did Lin Bai realize that indeed it had been several days since he'd last seen Seeing Wei Xiang'an.

Ever since the incident with the Thousand-Year Snake Enchantress had ended, the other would linger around them whenever he had nothing to do.

"After going back that day, he was ordered by the Elder to be locked in his cave abode for ten days."

"Within those ten days, without the Elder's permission, he wasn't allowed to come out."

A smile tugged at the corner of Wang Yuping's mouth, then, staring at Lin Bai, he laid out Seeing Wei Xiang'an's current situation.

"Are you sure this counts as being happy?"

Lin Bai looked at the other's appearance — it didn't look like happiness at all; instead, he sensed a hint of loss and discomposure.

"Of course! No one to bother me — how could I not be happy?"

Hearing Lin Bai's words, Wang Yuping hurriedly lifted his chin to prove he was telling the truth.

"Fine, but I still think you just aren't used to it."

"Could it be that you and Seeing Wei Xiang'an have been bickering back and forth every day and actually grown fond of each other?"

"Now that he's not here to bother you, you're the one who can't adjust."

Lin Bai's face was full of smiles.

"Senior Brother, what are you saying? How could that be? Don't you dare slander me."

"I can't even be bothered with him."

Hearing Lin Bai say this, Wang Yuping hurriedly denied it, refusing to admit that he really did feel out of sorts, always sensing as if something were missing.

"Senior Brother, Tudouzi, what are you two talking about?"

"Bothered with who?"

Just then, a familiar voice drifted over. Lin Bai looked off into the distance — Seeing Wei Xiang'an was walking toward them, a smile all over his face.

And the moment Wang Yuping saw the other, a faint light flickered in his eyes; but then, catching himself, he quickly schooled his expression back to a scowl.

"It's only been a few days — weren't you locked up in closed-door confinement? How are you out already?"

Wang Yuping asked, somewhat puzzled. By his count, the other should still have needed another two days before he could come out.

But now the other was standing right in front of him, forcing him to believe the other really had come out.
