Chapter 59: Master Jiu Appears, the Shocking Method (2/7, Requesting Flowers and Ratings)
"Wretch!"
The next moment, a figure flashed through the air, appearing before the zombie, and slapped forward—a massive green palm imprint materialized, smashing the zombie into the earth with a thud, leaving only its head exposed as it howled incessantly.
The newcomer was Master Jiu.
After receiving Master Jiu's palm strike, the previously frenzied zombie now spewed green fluid from all seven orifices, its cries hoarse and weak.
Master Ren and Ren Tingting, along with the Ren household servants, upon seeing Master Jiu appear and display divine power, immediately felt their hearts settle.
"Master, we've caught the culprit!"
Just then, three figures sped toward them from afar: Qiusheng, Wencai, and a Daoist Priest.
The Daoist Priest had white hair and beard, a withered face, and was held aloft by Qiusheng—his body rigid, only his eyeballs able to turn.
"May I ask, Master Jiu, what is this?"
Lin Fengjiao bowed apologetically: "I beg Master Ren's forgiveness. When I was preparing your late master's coffin, I noticed anomalies. Tonight's actions were merely to draw out the mastermind behind this—forgive me for causing you alarm."
"What?" Master Ren gasped in shock. "Someone wants to kill me?"
His gaze sharpened, fixed on the Daoist Priest in Qiusheng's grasp.
Suddenly, his expression turned to understanding.
"It's you!"
Lin Fengjiao waved his hand, releasing the Daoist Priest's acupoints.
"It's me!" The Daoist Priest landed, his face twisted with hatred. "I only regret I was one move too slow—otherwise, tonight would have seen your Ren household drenched in blood."
"You vile… Daoist Priest have no humanity at all! Someone, beat him to death!" Master Ren exploded in rage.
I merely bought your family's feng shui burial ground—how dare you try to exterminate my entire clan?
"Wait." Lin Fengjiao raised his hand. "There is cause behind this, and no harm was done. Master Ren, please grant me this favor—let me handle this man myself."
Master Ren froze, stunned in place.
Lin Fengjiao ignored him, walking straight to the zombie, raising his hand to lift it from the earth with a gesture.
"Master Ren, your late father has become a zombie. As I advise, shall we cremate him?" Lin Fengjiao said softly.
Seeing Lin Fengjiao's miraculous abilities, Master Ren suppressed his hatred for the feng shui Daoist and nodded repeatedly: "I leave it entirely to Master Jiu's judgment."
Lin Fengjiao nodded. "Good."
The next instant, flames spontaneously ignited in empty air.
The flames landed on the zombie, which, like snow before a blazing sun, vanished in an instant—reduced to ash.
Since becoming a terrestrial immortal, Master Jiu had long been able to summon martial true fire—burning a single zombie was no challenge.
"This… this is Sanmei True Fire?" Master Ren exclaimed. "Master Jiu, are you about to ascend to immortality?"
"Hah…" Lin Fengjiao laughed. "I'm far from becoming an immortal yet!"
He had someone bring a clay jar, placed the ashes inside, and prepared to leave.
Just then, hurried footsteps rang out, and a voice called from afar.
"Uncle, I'm here!"
Moments later, a squad of armed guards arrived.
Seeing Master Jiu and his group.
Ah Wei stepped forward, swaggering: "Was it you, Daoist Priest, who unleashed the zombie to commit violence?"
"Seize him!"
At his words, several guards stepped forward.
Though Master Jiu was highly respected in Ren Family Town,
the guards were not among his admirers.
In this era, those who joined the guards were mostly thugs and ruffians, with no moral compass whatsoever.
Right or wrong didn't matter—money was all that counted.
Once their superior gave the order, they didn't care if someone was innocent.
"Hmph!" Lin Fengjiao snorted, suddenly extending his hand—the guards all felt their grips grow light as over a dozen rifles vanished.
Looking ahead, those rifles now rested in Master Jiu's hands; under the guards' horrified stares, the guns melted into molten iron, pooling on the ground.
With power, Master Jiu would never bully others—but he also wouldn't tolerate being harassed by these fools.
If he didn't crush them now, wouldn't they stick to him like leeches?
After this, he waved his palm again—a massive palm imprint, dozens of meters wide, appeared on the ground.
The earth trembled, tree shadows swayed.
The guards turned pale with terror, trembling in fear.
Master Ren hurried forward to defuse the situation: "Master Jiu, Ah Wei is just a boy, he doesn't know better. Ah Wei, come here and apologize to Master Jiu!"
Ah Wei snapped out of his shock, rushed forward, and grinned sheepishly: "Master Jiu, I was wrong."
"Enough." Lin Fengjiao had no fondness for Ah Wei; he waved his hand. "The matter is settled. I'm leaving."
Saying this, he turned and led his group away.
Only after Master Jiu departed did the silent Ren household finally exhale in relief.
Master Jiu had done nothing at all.
But those abilities were terrifying.
He could smash a hole that big into the ground—stronger than artillery shells. If he struck a person, wouldn't he instantly pulverize them?
"This isn't scientific!"
Ren Tingting walked to the edge of the crater, her eyes wide. "How could a human body produce such destructive power?"
She had received a Western education—suddenly, everything she'd learned before now seemed doubtful.
Back at the funeral parlor.
Lin Fengjiao looked at the feng shui master and said, "What are your plans henceforth, Daoist Priest?"
"I am no match for you—kill me or cut me up, do as you please!" the Daoist Priest said defiantly.
Wencai exploded in anger: "You Daoist Priest have no manners at all—my Master just saved your life!"
The Daoist Priest snorted coldly, stiffening his neck and looking away.
Lin Fengjiao: "If my guess is correct, you have descendants, don't you?"
