Chapter 245: The Blood Bar Arrived Before the Person Did
Gulp…
The synchronized swallowing sounds were well known to these once-mighty demons.
A being of another dimensional tier had arrived.
Behind the door, waiting for Chunhu, was not her enemy Chang'e, but the strongest on the entire moon, one of Japan's Three Divine Mysteries…
The Moon King, Tsukuyomi.
The ruler of the Moon Capital, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto.
The sole surviving one among the Three Noble Children of myth, deity of the Night Realm and the Moon.
Jia Ji's breath seized abruptly; the humanoid figure before him seemed woven from countless cold moonbeams, making him struggle to see clearly.
"Can mortals gaze upon the form of a god?"
The deity who governs the night, Tsukuyomi, the Night God, the Moon God, the Moonbow Lord, the Moon's Remnant—absolute sovereign among deities, and the first true god Jia Ji had ever faced directly.
On this satellite, no one could defy Tsukuyomi's will; this was the Moon God's domain, His sacred realm, His kingdom—His every motion could mobilize the full power of the entire moon.
Before Jia Ji could make out Tsukuyomi's true face, he felt as if he had already seen the impossibly long, moon-circling health bar.
In other words, defeating Tsukuyomi on the moon was essentially impossible.
He sensed the deity had not deliberately concealed His form—this was merely the world's spontaneous manifestation of divine glory, an unconscious outflow of power.
The blur gradually faded, revealing the Moon God's true visage.
Black flooded into the pupils—also black.
A pair of black eyes, exceedingly rare among the world's powerful beings: still as a deep well, as mysterious and unfathomable as the darkest night, flickering with prism-like glimmers like shattered stars, yet radiating an innate arrogance and coldness.
A blackness unlike humanity's, impossibly distant.
"Holy shit… isn't this Himekami? Exactly the same!"
As expected—a beautiful girl (sort of).
A stunning goddess with long, straight black hair, her face strikingly similar—nine or ten out of ten—to her daughter, Hōrai Mountain Himekami.
She looked like a porcelain doll so delicate it might shatter at a touch, its contours exquisite and beautiful.
The only flaw, perhaps, was the complete absence of any expression on her face—fitting for her divine station, yet utterly devoid of emotion.
Legend says: "Tsukuyomi, yearning for his sister, fashioned a human form in the likeness of Amaterasu, yet his hair was silver-gray, like moonlight. He named it: Kaguya, also his mortal name. Over time, the form came alive, stole Tsukuyomi's divine body, and vanished."
The ancient god Tsukuyomi, indifferent to all, had allowed mortals and demons to run rampant in the Moon Capital she had built—until Chunhu shattered the gates of the Cold Palace, at last appearing.
Her face, identical to Himekami's, paused briefly, scanning the chaotic surroundings, then she pointed toward the distance—a silent force swept across thousands of demons.
The demons, moments before writhing under the pressure, froze instantly, motionless as corpses, eyes fixed straight ahead.
Not just them—the Moon Rabbits and Moon People too—all rolled their eyes back and collapsed unconscious to the ground.
The closer a demon or Moon Sage stood to Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto, the greater the pressure—every being on the moon was frozen in place by a mere gesture.
"Is Conqueror's Haki a mandatory skill for all strong individuals?!"
Though Jia Ji wasn't knocked out by the mere aura of lesser foes, as the first target, he still couldn't move a single finger.
The pressure upon him was like countless mountains crushing his entire body, gradually deforming his hardened frame.
As the ultimate boss of half the Eastern cosmology, Tsukuyomi—the hidden hand behind the demon alliance's collapse—was certainly not to be trifled with.
Yet, by Jia Ji's standards, she was still not at the "Mad Upper" tier—after all, a mere Moon Lord couldn't match the Mad Upper's cosmic dinosaur Jecton.
Then, there's a fight!
"Haaahhhhhhhhhhh—!"
Trapped in the frozen space, Jia Ji slowly, irresistibly clenched his fist, veins bulging at his temples, roaring aloud.
Fighting Qi Method × Explosive Qi Break!
His fighting qi surged instantly; boundless light erupted from his body, blue flames burning across his skin, his overflowing qi spilling uncontrollably outward.
That violent fighting qi had already surpassed his own limits, bursting forth from within him.
A terrifying energy storm erupted around him, solidifying into a shockwave that blasted outward in all directions.
"Crack—!"
With a sound like shattering glass, the surrounding space ruptured into fragments.
"Hey, it's Jia Ji desu!"
When the light faded, Jia Ji reappeared before them—his eyes now pure blue, his hair standing on end like deep-blue flames.
His clothing offered no protection whatsoever, dissolving soundlessly into countless fluttering butterfly fragments.
Tsukuyomi's gaze settled on the man standing foremost before Him—bare-chested, muscular torso exposed—and paused, her eyes growing colder.
"Forgive me, but my mood is terrible," Tsukuyomi's ethereal voice drifted from before Jia Ji, laced with revulsion: "What I do to you now is merely pure venting."
"Sis, is this the Moon Kingdom or the Delusion Realm?"
Jia Ji gasped in alarm and snapped his fingers.
Big Dipper Summoning Fist—activate!
"Old Mo, come!"
The hidden god Mataro Inugami appeared.
Yagokoro Shizuka's 【Boundary Power】 was the most unreasonable ability in this world—but Mataro Inugami's 【Gate Power】 surpassed even that in mystery.
The secret deity, wielding the Seven-Star Sword, stood shoulder to shoulder with Jia Ji, his expression grave.
And Jia Ji's backup wasn't just her—he had more…
"Master?!"
Overwhelmed by shock, the Watanuki sisters cried out.
The master, who should have been kidnapped by the shut-in, had arrived on the lunar surface via the secret deity's portal.
Even more, the Heavenly Kama Ancient Bow in her hand was not aimed at the invaders of the Moon Capital—but at her former leader, Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto!
Long silver hair braided and draped over her back, the goddess of wisdom stood beside Jia Ji's other side.
"Sister Chunhu, go deal with Chang'e—I'll handle Tsukuyomi," Jia Ji told the golden-haired woman.
"You're really bold," x2
Mataro and Yagokoro Eirin spoke in unison.
