Chapter 87: Specialized Against Humans, Including God-Men

~6 min read 1,021 words

A blue light cluster, several times larger than the other glowing points, surged across the sky, tearing through the clouds, and slammed straight into the giant with unimaginable force.

“Boom!”

The giant staggered back two steps, nearly fell, then righted itself at a physically impossible angle, fixing its hollow, eyeless sockets on the sudden attacker, Jia Qi.

The building beside it had half its upper structure crushed away; concrete, rebar, and rubble fell to the ground in slow motion, emitting a deafening roar.

Then, as if greeting him, it slowly raised one hand and swung its arm like a woodcutter chopping firewood.

“Slow! Slow! Slow! Too slow!!”

Jia Qi dodged the giant’s hand-slash like a bird floating beside water, executing a dazzling aerial flip and spin—remarkable, given how such a body could twist at such an impossible angle to evade such a vast attack.

“Do you think a god-man of your caliber can destroy the world?”

Landing slowly atop the building’s ruins, even Jia Qi, enlarged by his Divine Growth Technique, was no larger than the giant’s palm—but his aura matched it perfectly.

The vital force of life, the martial spirit of battle—his battle qi erupted violently, interfering with the world to produce strange flashes; in a mosaic-like effect, the ruins of buildings melted into molten liquid.

His action startled Gu Quan’s companions, who all retreated, curious about this powerful, unknown “superhuman” who had stormed into the battlefield’s center.

After a brief pause, the mindless god-man, as if utterly enraged by his words, charged forward; the ground shook violently, the street and vehicles beneath its feet crushed to shards, leaving behind terrifying depressions that felt like an earthquake.

Shards of broken stone and brick flew toward Jia Qi’s face—sharp as needles, near and far, large and small—but as they neared his body, they were instantly worn away by Xiong Xiong’s battle qi, not even forcing him to blink.

“Come on.”

Jia Qi curled his finger, taunting.

Then, before the eyes of the superhumans, Gu Quan, and A Xu—all incredulous—the supposedly slow, clumsy, enraged god-man leapt into the air.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The leap and impact, delivered by the god-man’s body, could shatter everything within a hundred meters; if the shockwave expanded further, it would flatten an entire neighborhood.

A colossal fist descended from the sky, exploding with a deafening sonic boom, striking Jia Qi, who stood motionless, and smashing him deep into the earth.

A destructive shockwave spread in a fan shape behind him, stripping away a layer of ground wherever it passed.

Trapped beneath the god-man’s crushing blow, buried in the twisted, deformed crater, Jia Qi growled, pulled his bent legs free from the earth, planted them on the surrounding ground and his own emitted battle qi, used his core strength to brace himself, and—despite the increasing pressure of the giant’s fist—rose back to his feet.

His hair stood on end; his black eyes, often said to carry a menacing glare, flashed with lethal light. His arms, previously crossed in defense, suddenly thrust forward—he freed one arm and wore an expression brimming with aggression—

Final Move: Five-Finger Inferno Bullets!

A technique designed to counterattack while destroying the opponent’s fist, this Northern Dipper specialty had shattered countless overconfident fist masters’ hands; now it was being used against the largest fist Northern Dipper had encountered in its two-thousand-year history.

The technique targeted precise acupoints in the opponent’s fingers—but the god-man’s fingers…

“Ahh!”

They were bigger than the Mother of Fingers, more obvious—no need to aim; just unleash everything straight at them.

Even if not human, lacking acupoints, it was still flesh and blood—and that helped immensely. The destructive, specialized battle qi surged relentlessly up the giant finger.

As this alien force invaded, the muscle tissue between the fibers blazed with blinding light, then rotted away in an instant, peeling off the bones; soon, only a massive skeleton remained.

After unleashing several more hellish hand-slashes, shattering and breaking the bones, Jia Qi returned to his companions’ side.

“Is that it?” A Xu seemed still dazed, unable to grasp how Jia Qi had turned defeat into victory.

The otherworlder, who had just shrunk from five meters to normal height, explained to the foolish A Xu: “Northern Dipper Divine Fist is a one-hit kill technique specialized against humans. Since this god-man carries the character for ‘human,’ it falls within its scope.”

As he put on his newly refreshed clothes, Jia Qi proposed to Gu Quan: “Next time a god-man shows up, call me. Fighting’s a blast—no worries about collateral damage, and I get a temporary trial pass. It’s awesome!”

Gu Quan didn’t offer any awe, praise, or “you’re impressive” expression—only a deeply complicated look.

“On behalf of the rest of the organization, I beg you—don’t let Liang Gong know you know this Northern Dipper assassination fist technique…”

Gu Quan’s tone carried a plea; the fully unleashed Jia Qi was genuinely terrifying.

The greatest fear among these superhumans was that their carefully maintained world might accidentally become too lively because of Liang Gong Chunri—if she saw Jia Qi fighting…

Just imagining the consequences made A Xu involuntarily shiver.

The mildest outcome: a fifty-meter-tall god-man wakes up overnight having learned the “Luo Han Ren Wang Fist,” effortlessly knocking down stationary superhumans, leaving no force capable of stopping it, then marches out of the closed space and destroys the real Earth.

The worst outcome: on top of that, everything Jia Qi once joked about—Fist Mountain, Cursed Spring Village, Heavenly God Elementary School—would appear worldwide, triggering chaos beyond measure.

Aliens or time-travelers might have containment protocols, but these teenage superhumans, whose powers barely reach level 4—or even level 3—can’t handle it.

“We can’t handle this!”

“Exactly, exactly.”

Gu Quan and A Xu reached an agreement.

“I don’t think it’s necessarily unmanageable.”

Jia Qi, the North High weightlifting champion and chaos enthusiast, clearly had a different idea.

“If the world really gets lively, isn’t that fine too?”
