Chapter 53: When the Teyvat Archons Arrive in the Iron Trail Multiverse

~6 min read 1,089 words

Though Yaoyao was over five hundred years old, she was still relatively young compared to the immortals of Liyue, who often lived for thousands of years.

Though her combat power had reached the immortal level, she still felt powerless in the face of this situation.

“The laws of this world are truly unique—there’s even a law of erosion that wears down long-lived beings…”

Jizi stepped forward, gazing at the Yanqiande Raiden Shogun, filled with deep emotion, her eyes revealing a hint of curiosity.

In Jizi’s view, the world of Teyvat differed drastically from the Cosmic Galaxy, especially these lifeforms known as Archons…

They were nothing short of a miracle of life!

Born with lifespans stretching beyond sight, inherently possessing power called Authority, they grow stronger over time!

“Such lifeforms are truly terrifying!”

Dan Heng retracted his dragon form, fixing his gaze on Raiden Shogun, his eyes heavy with seriousness: “If Teyvat hadn’t been seeded with the law of erosion, severely limiting these Archons, I wouldn’t know how strong Raiden could have become by now.”

Maybe Teyvat would be shattered by the Archons’ wars long before the Abyss ever swallowed it?

Compared to the Archons, the Celestial beings of Xianzhou were utterly weak!

The Archons endure the law of erosion, surviving for millennia, still full of vigor.

Yet Xianzhou’s Celestials, bound by the Malyin Body restriction, rarely survive beyond a thousand years.

Dan Heng didn’t believe the erosion’s limitation on long-lived beings was weaker than the Malyin Body restriction.

“Archons are indeed a near-perfect form of life.”

Walter echoed the sentiment, silently estimating that their existence might be nearly identical to Earth’s Perfect Laws?

One could only say that when Teyvat’s Archons entered the Iron Trail Universe, they became an absurdly potent form of life.

What would they become upon reaching the Great Universe and encountering the Paths?

Perhaps not as powerful as Envoys, but not far behind the Long Zun of the He Ming.

How terrifying would it be if every Archon were a Long Zun?

“Big Sister Jizi, stop studying this for now—how do we wake up this young lady?”

Seeing her little companion Star gesturing wildly with her hands, San Yueqi knew she was lost in some abstract thought again; she glanced at Jizi and the others, who were now immersed in discussing the nature of Archon life…

San Yueqi looked at Yaoyao, the young lady with fox ears, her face streaked with tears, heartbreakingly fragile—and her heart softened…

One could only say, no wonder she’s a fox spirit—naturally endowed with charm.

“Hehe, little San Yueqi, the person’s been subdued—other problems are no longer problems.”

Seeing the worry on little San Yueqi’s face, Jizi and Walter exchanged glances and chuckled; the girl was still too young, but her kindness was worth praising.

Spiritual issues, though far more severe than physical ones, are never truly dire in the Cosmic Galaxy as long as the person is still alive!

Worst case, we can just go to the Train’s treasury and find some rare artifacts to nourish the spirit and cultivate the soul.

“True enough—the problem isn’t serious. Once I pull Teyvat out of the Quantum Sea and bring it back to the Cosmic Galaxy, the law of erosion will naturally dissipate.”

“Even if Itachi do nothing now, Raiden Shogun will gradually recover on her own.”

At that moment, a rich, resonant voice unexpectedly sounded in everyone’s ears.

“Hermes, how did Itachi get here?”

Jizi looked at the figure who had suddenly appeared beside her, a flicker of joy rising in her heart.

Hermes gazed at Jizi, a gentle smile tugging at his lips; he opened his arms, stepped beside her, and naturally took her hand.

Seeing the peculiar smiles in San Yueqi’s eyes, Jizi’s cheeks flushed faintly; she made a token struggle, but when she saw Hermes had no intention of letting go, she let it be.

“I only projected a sliver of my consciousness here—I came to handle some business.”

Seeing Jizi had accepted it, Hermes stopped teasing her and calmly explained: “The Seven Archons of Teyvat are the very essence of this world—I count on them to become my right and left hands.”

“The Raiden Shogun before us is merely one of the Raiden sisters.”

“She has an older sister named Raiden Makoto, whose condition is dire—she’s on the brink of demise. I’d best take her back now, or even I’m unsure how long she can hold on…”

As he spoke, Hermes gestured, attempting to extract the Dreaming Heart from Raiden Shogun’s body.

As the Dreaming Heart slowly emerged from Raiden Shogun’s form, she abruptly awoke from her coma, dazedly clutching the Dreaming Heart in her hands.

“Raiden Shogun, do Itachi want to revive your sister, Raiden Makoto?”

Seeing Raiden Shogun’s consciousness slipping back into chaos, Hermes stepped before her, gently stroking her hair, and asked softly:

“Sister!!”

Hearing this, Raiden Shogun, half-conscious, summoned her last ounce of strength, struggling to rise from her desolate despair.

Seeing this, Hermes nodded in satisfaction.

Raiden Shogun’s current state was utter loss of will to live.

She had lost her beloved sister, her many friends, and now even her final sanctuary—the people of Inazuma—were shattered.

The law of erosion was merely the trigger; the true cause was that Raiden Shogun herself no longer wished to live, which led to her breakdown.

Otherwise, Itachi may say she is blunt and inflexible, but Itachi cannot say her will is weak!

She endured five hundred years in the Heartland of One Mind, day after day, polishing her will like sharpening a blade—what extraordinary perseverance!

All Hermes needed to do was reignite a spark of her will to live, and Raiden Shogun would naturally rally.

“The Dreaming Heart holds the last fragment of your sister Raiden Makoto’s consciousness.”

Seeing this, Hermes continued: “To Itachi, Raiden Makoto in this state may as well be dead—but to me, reviving her is merely a matter of effort.”

“Buer should have told Itachi about me—Itachi know I have this ability.”

“Sister… can my sister really be revived?”

Raiden Shogun finally came fully awake, her tear-blurred eyes lifting weakly, like a wounded beast, whispering helplessly.

She feared this last glimmer of hope would shatter like a dream, like foam.

Hermes said nothing; he simply extended his finger and gently touched the Dreaming Heart.

And then—

“Shi!”

A female phantom, identical to Raiden Shogun but radiating a gentle aura, appeared out of thin air.

“Sister!! Waaahhh…”

Raiden Shogun could no longer hold back—she burst into sobs, struggling desperately to rise.
