Chapter 67: Primordial Dharma Unfolds, Questioning the Dao to Ascend to Heaven
Watching the Great Black Tower sink into a frenzy of research, Hermes smiled faintly.
He feared no pursuit—he feared having no one behind him at all.
“Transmitting the Dharma: [Questioning the Dao Finger], [Path to Ascension]—the Star System’s current version is now fully perfected.”
“It is time.”
“For mortals to achieve universal self-evolution remains too difficult. Today, I shall use my cosmic origin to guide them in experiencing the Way of the Star Lord.”
Above the four-dimensional spacetime, Hermes gazed upon the Blue Planet, where a thread of primordial purity had been drawn forth, and finally nodded in satisfaction.
Instantly.
On the Blue Planet, streams of cosmic primordial energy spread outward.
The Innate Field—Perfect World—enveloped the entire Blue Planet.
At this moment, all things moved toward the perfect world in Hermes’ heart.
All life on the Blue Planet, united with the divine and merged with Heaven’s Dao, were drawn to perceive the original intent behind the Founder’s creation of the Dao.
And in this state, a thread of primordial purity resonated subtly with the shadowy reflection of their destined stars…
In a flash of sudden enlightenment.
All beings seemed to synchronize with the Great Celestial Emperor, gently extending a single finger—
Questioning the Dao Finger, piercing the soul, dissecting the true heart!
Once this step was crossed, the Dao foundation established, and the Path to Ascension walked, becoming a Star Lord was no longer an impossibly distant dream.
After the people of the Blue Planet completed this finger gesture—
Infinite streams of information flooded into the depths of their minds, etching two indelible marks into their consciousness!
Even a fleeting glimpse of these marks struck them with their profound principles, leaving them involuntarily dazed and mesmerized.
The marks of [Questioning the Dao Finger] and [Path to Ascension] became their most solid foundation on the path to becoming Star Lords!
This was, in essence, the Primordial Great Celestial Emperor granting every single person on the Blue Planet a divine cheat code.
Itachi can’t become a Star Lord yet?
If copying [Questioning the Dao Finger] once or twice still doesn’t work, how could a thousand or ten thousand repetitions fail?
If it truly does, then Itachi are nothing but a born evil villain destined to save the world—a true seed of the demonic Dao, worthy of annihilation by all!
If Itachi could be reborn in a world of immortals and demons, Itachi’d surely be a top contender for becoming a demonic overlord…
And the existence of [Path to Ascension] ensures that, once Itachi become a Star Lord, Itachi need never again suffer from lack of resources or external aids!
With these two, even the most dull-witted person, after eons of cultivation, still holds a sliver of hope to achieve the Ninth Transformation of Void Refinement, merge with the Dao, make their own Dao an eternal law of the universe, become a Star Lord, and claim the title of Emperor!
Thus.
The purely beautiful world, once only a dream in Hermes’ heart, had finally become an unstoppable tide of the age, slowly coming to pass.
Now, the Star Path was fully clarified.
Question the Dao, establish the Dao foundation, ascend the Path, become a Star Lord, proclaim yourself Emperor!
“Let your own Dao merge with the world, become one corner of its rules—like the natural law of sunrise and moonset!”
“Can cultivation truly proceed this way?”
“[Questioning the Dao Finger], [Path to Ascension]—truly astonishing Dharma…”
While ordinary mortals remained bewildered, those heroes who had long since become Star Lords, upon seeing the terrifying depth of these two Dharma techniques in their minds, could not help but feel profound awe.
Though merely two techniques, if fully revealed, they were in truth two highly advanced scientific systems.
Any single one could stir up storms across the cosmos, even shake the foundations of galactic scientific paradigms!
[Questioning the Dao Finger] was Hermes’ simplified emulation of his own form as the Cosmic Origin—a simulation of the Root.
Though it appeared merely a finger technique pointing inward to question the heart, if one pierced its surface and perceived its deeper mysteries, one could even use this Dharma to construct a simplified version of the world’s Root, and from it, build a miniature universe!
[Path to Ascension] was Hermes’ crowning achievement in dimensional technology; fully comprehending this Dharma could allow one to construct, from nothing, a dimensional scientific system stretching far into the future—its value incalculable.
Hermes watched with a smile as the many Star Lords below surged with excitement, and he understood well.
The Star Path would continue to evolve according to Hermes’ will.
The reason the Star Lord path unfolded this way…
In truth, it was Hermes’ rehearsal for his own future path.
These Star Lords now sought to transform their Dao into the rules of this small star system; but Hermes’ ambition was far greater.
He aimed to ascend step by step into the Honkai: Star Rail universe, the Tree Sea multiverse…
And ultimately, become the eternal, unchanging truth of all realms and worlds, forever free across infinite spacetime!
After fulfilling his duty as the Founder in transmitting the Dao, Hermes finally turned his gaze once more toward Teyvat.
Since all preparations were complete, it was time to settle the long-delayed matter.
Out of caution, Hermes entered the Quantum Sea in his true form.
Whoosh~
The quantum current surged, twisting and confusing time and sequence.
Yet Hermes walked forward, calm and unhurried.
With Buer’s location as his guide, he was never lost or swallowed by the occasional quantum tsunami.
As he neared Teyvat, Hermes fell silent, gazing at the increasing number of world bubbles on the verge of collapse around him.
“Born to dream, dying in the same breath—how tragic to live within these fragments and reflections of a dying world…”
Hermes watched as one world bubble after another before him was drowned by quantum tsunamis, his heart growing heavy.
He knew well that these world bubbles sinking into the Quantum Sea had no future.
Yet as a pure celestial deity-in-waiting, he could not help but wish to change this—to make the worlds more beautiful…
But snapping back to reality, Hermes could not help but sigh: human power has its limits.
Since the birth of the Tree Sea multiverse, no one knew how vast the Numerical Tree truly was, or how boundless the Quantum Sea stretched.
Yet even just imagining it, the Quantum Sea likely contained far more than a hundred million world bubbles—even without counting those already destroyed.
Against such a base number, even if every Star God from the Honkai: Star Rail universe were thrown in, they would not even make a ripple.
Gathering his composure, Hermes quickened his pace.
Soon.
A shattered universe wreathed in black calamity came into view.
Unlike ordinary world bubbles,
Teyvat had once been a universe upon the Tree.
At some unknown time, it fell from above; all other innumerable star rivers had already sunk.
Only this tiny world, barely surviving, was held aloft on Phanes’ shoulder.
Soon, Teyvat—the half-collapsed world—came into view.
From the outside, Teyvat resembled a broken, battered giant egg, riddled with cracks.
Occasionally, damaged spaceships, strange artificial constructs, and ruins drifted past.
But to Hermes, these were merely trash—useless.
At this moment, Hermes gazed into Teyvat’s interior, his eyes flickering with subtle emotion.
Raiden Shogun and Himeko really went to the kitchen together?
