Chapter 658: Badge Cheating

Six Pokémon flew out from the spheres one after another and landed on the ground.

The six Pokémon were: Growlithe, Beedrill, Aipom, Tentacruel, Politoed, and Ditto.

Ash commanded his six Pokémon: "Growlithe, use 【Shock Wave】!"

Growlithe opened its mouth and spat out a surge of air, which flew toward the sky.

Bang!

The air surge collided in the sky, creating a loud noise, and subsequently formed a gale!

Whoosh-whoosh! Whoosh-whoosh!

Growlithe radiated blue-green flames, staring fiercely at the Ditto in front.

Ash snorted coldly: "Politoed, use 【Quick Attack】!"

Boom!

The gale stopped instantly, and countless fine grains of sand were blown up.

Immediately following, meteorites flashing with thunder fell from the high sky, smashing toward the Ditto in front.

Seeing Growlithe's attack, Ditto hurriedly controlled its three small Pokémon to dodge these meteorites.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

These meteorites landed directly on the ground beneath Misty's feet, kicking up a sky full of yellow dust.

Seeing these meteorites, May's face revealed a look of surprise: "I didn't expect Ash to actually use 'Thunder Meteorite', that's truly amazing!"

Cynthia, however, shook her head: "No! The power of this skill of Ash's is still not enough! Moreover, he has already consumed a lot of stamina just now, so he must take this opportunity to use 【Lightning Storm】."

After Cynthia finished speaking, she took out a strange badge.

May looked at this badge curiously: "What is this thing?"

Cynthia replied indifferently: "This badge is a treasure my father left for me, called 【Lightning Storm】."

Hearing Cynthia mention her father, May immediately fell silent.

Cynthia noticed May's expression and smiled slightly: "Little sister May, you shouldn't mind, right?"

May shook her head: "Of course not, after all, your father is also a hero!"

Cynthia stroked May's head: "Thank you."

Cynthia taking out this treasure badge was not, as May had imagined, to use this badge to cheat.

Although Cynthia's father was also a hero, unlike other heroes, Cynthia's father was an ordinary old man.

Cynthia's father had once been a Trainer, but he later retired, and while taking care of his grandchildren, he would occasionally participate in activities held by the League.

However, because of his age, Cynthia's father was no longer able to lead his team to win championships like he used to.

Cynthia's father then gave up this profession.

Cynthia's father then taught Cynthia to learn various techniques, hoping that Cynthia could grow up like her grandfather.

In Cynthia's memory, her grandfather had once told her that if she encountered certain danger, she should crush this badge, as it could protect her safety.

However, Cynthia had never used it before; today was the first time.

Cynthia placed the badge on her chest, closed her eyes, and recited the incantation: "【Lightning Storm】, activate."

As Cynthia's voice fell, a powerful hurricane rose from thin air.

The storm blew larger and larger, eventually sweeping across the entire competition venue.

Cynthia's six Pokémon were all affected, moving their bodies involuntarily.

Cynthia opened her eyes, feeling her whole body lighten.

"Phew~ finally finished, the effect of this 【Lightning Storm】 is really good." Cynthia said with a smile.

"Wow! It actually forced Ditto back! Ash is so amazing!" Seeing Ditto actually forced back by Cynthia's 【Lightning Storm】, a look of astonishment appeared on May's face. ===== CHAPTER 659 =====
