Chapter 737: Carrying what
"Bye-bye~" Ash waved goodbye to Cynthia, then walked outside.
After Ash left, May also walked out of the room: "Mommy, I'm going to school."
"Go ahead, remember to come back for lunch," the elder instructed.
"Mm, I know!" May said with a smile.
"May, let me drop you off, it's on the way," the elder said, standing up.
"No need, I'll just take a taxi myself, Ma'am," May declined.
"Don't be so polite, May, just let your mother take you; it works out, she needs to buy groceries anyway," Ash suddenly poked his head out from the kitchen and shouted.
Hearing Ash say this, Cynthia immediately revealed a gratified smile.
"Alright then, Ma'am, I won't be polite then." Seeing that her mother had spoken, May had no choice but to nod in agreement.
"Great, let's go!" Cynthia said with a happy smile, then took May's hand and walked toward the entrance of the residential complex.
Ash watched Cynthia and May leave until they disappeared from sight, then strolled leisurely toward the park. It was already 8:30, and Ash figured Cynthia would be back soon, so he wasn't in a rush.
Ash wandered through the park, feeling the fresh air around him and enjoying the sunlight; it felt truly comfortable.
Ash arrived at the lakeside, quietly watching the scene of fish playing in the lake.
Suddenly, Ash's eyes narrowed as he saw a beautiful woman playing by the lakeside in the distance.
"What a coincidence?" Ash exclaimed in surprise.
Because this beautiful woman was none other than Dawn.
Ash quickly arrived at Dawn's side and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Ah~~~" Dawn was given a huge fright. When she saw clearly that it was Ash, she immediately said angrily: "Stinky little brother, why are you scaring me?"
"Hehe!" Ash scratched his head awkwardly and said.
"Why are you here?" Dawn asked curiously. She rarely saw Ash usually, and it was broad daylight, yet Ash had actually appeared here.
"I'm out for a walk with Mom!" Ash explained.
"Oh, I see." Dawn suddenly realized, then said with a slightly red face: "That... I'm also here for a walk with my mom."
"Oh!" Ash said indifferently.
"Hey! What are you holding in your hand?" Dawn asked suspiciously.
"Nothing, I'm heading back." Ash didn't want to chat much with her; after all, the Dawn of this world was too different from the Dawn in his memories, and her personality seemed to have changed quite a bit as well.
"Mm!" Dawn nodded lightly. She also knew her status relative to Ash's, and there was simply no way to discuss other topics.
After Ash returned home, he cast this matter to the back of his mind. It had nothing to do with him anyway; he was only responsible for his mission.
Ash arrived at the training ground and saw a blonde beauty directing everyone in drills. "This must be Sister Cynthia," Ash thought to himself.
Immediately, Ash walked to Cynthia's side and said: "Sister Cynthia, what are you doing?"
"Hm? Ash, you're back?" Cynthia said in surprise.
"Yeah! Just got back from May's house," Ash replied with a smile.
"Has May been throwing any tantrums these past few days?" Cynthia asked.
"May has been quite well-behaved," Ash replied.
"Oh! That's good!" Cynthia said.
"By the way, Sister Cynthia, why haven't you come to find me to play these past few days?" Ash asked. ===== CHAPTER 738 =====
