John circled Lin Ye twice, barking.

After petting the dog's head, Lin Ye took the dog food from the kitchen cabinet and filled John's bowl.

He then took off his clothes, walked into the bathroom, and began to wash up.

"I'm exhausted today,"

"I need to get some good rest."

When he finished washing and lay on the bed, ready to check his phone, he realized there were three missed calls from the last twenty minutes.

And they were all from the same person.

Yukinoshita Yukino.

His girlfriend, and fiancée.

Yukinoshita Yukino sat before her desk, yet she could not calm down no matter what.

Normally, she could focus on reading books very quickly, but right now, she could not concentrate at all.

At this hour, three consecutive calls had gone unanswered.

Was he asleep, or was he busy with something?

But regardless of which possibility it was, it was not a good thing.

She could not help but worry.
