Chapter 36

Kurahashi Kyoko just snorted and didn't answer.

Li An didn't care either. He came to the Xuanguan, changed his shoes, and headed out.

Not far from the apartment there was a shopping mall, with a very large fresh-food section where all kinds of ingredients could be bought.

Considering Zen'in Maki's rather large appetite, Li An also planned to buy quite a bit more.

After a round of shopping, more than an hour had already passed by the time he came out of the mall.

Back at home, Zen'in Maki hadn't arrived yet.

Li An went to the kitchen and began preparing lunch in advance.

"We agreed you'd treat me to three meals, so why's it flipped around now?" Li An muttered as he washed the vegetables.

Little Hikoboshi and the Boy and Girl were all very sensible; seeing Li An preparing lunch, they all ran into the kitchen to help.

But the Boy and Girl's arms were both wings, which made it inconvenient for them to work.

Li An told them to go out and watch TV; having Little Hikoboshi help was enough.

Another hour passed, and all the ingredients were washed clean and chopped.

Finally, Zen'in Maki arrived.

Ding-dong!

The doorbell rang. Kurahashi Kyoko knew it was Zen'in Maki, so she didn't want to go open the door.

Li An shook his head, a little speechless, came out of the kitchen, and went to open the door himself.

Sure enough, Zen'in Maki was standing outside the door, a gift in hand.

"I thought I'd have to wait a bit longer. Come in and sit down." Li An smiled and stepped aside.

Zen'in Maki, however, said with an apologetic look: "I already rushed over as fast as I could. The main thing is that turning in the mission wasted a lot of time."

"It's fine, late is late." Li An took out a brand-new pair of slippers for her from the Xuanguan.

"Thank you!" Zen'in Maki thanked him, then took off her shoes and slipped into the slippers.

Li An's gaze, however, stayed fixed on Zen'in Maki's little feet.

Around size 36, a very nice foot shape, and wearing black stockings made them look especially alluring.

He really wanted to grab them in his hands and toy with them for a bit.

"Somebody's eyes have gone completely straight!" Kurahashi Kyoko said, her words dripping with jealousy.

Li An glared at her and pretended he hadn't heard.

Zen'in Maki, however, blushed a little, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

Arriving in the living room, Li An said to the two women: "It's getting late now. I'll go cook first; after lunch we'll learn magic together."

"Sure, I'm not in a hurry." Zen'in Maki nodded in agreement.

"Up to you." Kurahashi Kyoko also said indifferently.

Anyway, she was living with Li An now, so she could learn from him anytime.

"Then it's settled." With that, Li An went to the kitchen and started stir-frying.

Little Hikoboshi wanted to help, but Li An refused.

The ingredients were already washed and chopped; all that was left was stir-frying, so there was no need for help anymore.

Zen'in Maki looked at Hikoboshi walking out of the kitchen, and at the Boy and Girl sitting on the sofa watching TV, and curiously asked Kurahashi Kyoko: "Are they your shikigami?"

Kurahashi Kyoko shook her head and said: "No, they're all Li An's shikigami!"

"Li An also knows Onmyodo?" Zen'in Maki showed a surprised expression.

"Making a fuss over nothing, what's so strange about that!" Kurahashi Kyoko mocked, then added: "He knows a whole lot of things. Isn't he supposed to teach us magic today? Have you ever heard of magic before?"
