Chapter 373: Then Let's Try It

Accelerator snorted coldly, a glint of icy light flashing in his eyes: "Ant. Before me, you don't stand a single chance. Surrender quietly, and perhaps I'll grant you a quick end." As he spoke, powerful energy gathered in his hands, and the surrounding air seemed to twist.

"Hmph, then let's try it!" Li An showed no fear. His eyes gleamed with a steadfast light, and at the same time he swiftly activated the system in his mind, analyzing Accelerator's ability weaknesses.

The battle erupted in an instant. Accelerator struck first, a powerful energy beam shooting toward Li An like a meteor. Li An's figure flashed, and he dodged swiftly at 170; the energy beam grazed the hem of his clothes and shot toward the rear, instantly leveling a building to the ground.

"What terrifying attack power!" Li An marveled inwardly, but he did not panic. Using the movement trajectories of Accelerator's ability that the system had analyzed, he nimbly wove through the gaps between the energy beams, searching for a chance to counterattack.

"Petty tricks!" Accelerator's eyes flashed with annoyance at seeing Li An easily dodge his attack. He increased his energy output, and countless energy beams rained down on Li An like a storm.

Fine beads of sweat seeped from Li An's forehead, and his breathing grew rapid. Facing such a dense barrage of attacks, his dodging became somewhat labored. But he gritted his teeth, silently repeating in his heart: "I can't lose, I must protect Yaoyao!"

Just as Li An was struggling to hold out, Misaka Mikoto suddenly appeared. She stood atop a building, blue electric current crackling in her hand: "Accelerator, you've gone too far!" With that, she shot the electric current from her hand at Accelerator, attempting to disrupt his attack.

"Misaka Mikoto, you actually dare to interfere!" Accelerator roared furiously. He turned his head to look at Misaka Mikoto, his eyes brimming with killing intent.

"I can't just stand by and watch you bully innocent people!" Misaka Mikoto fearlessly stared back at Accelerator, her gaze filled with resolve and righteousness.

While Accelerator and Misaka Mikoto were facing off, Li An seized the chance to adjust his condition. He took a deep breath, a flash of resolve crossing his eyes: "Now!" He rushed toward Accelerator at full speed, powerful energy gathering in his hands.

Accelerator sensed Li An's attack and snorted coldly: "Overestimating yourself!" With that, he launched another attack, an even more powerful energy beam shooting toward Li An.

Li An looked at that energy beam, not the slightest fear in his heart. Using the weakness of the energy beam that the system had analyzed, he cleverly altered the direction of his own attack, successfully evading that energy beam while simultaneously landing his energy strike on Accelerator's body.

"Bang!" A tremendous explosion rang out. Accelerator was sent flying by Li An's attack, his body tracing an arc through the air before crashing heavily to the ground.

"Accelerator!" The espers around them cried out in shock. They couldn't believe that Accelerator—one of Academy City's strongest—had actually been defeated by Li An.

"Th-this... how is this possible?" Accelerator struggled to get up from the ground, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief. He stared at Li An as if looking at a monster: "Wh-what exactly are you?"

Li An stood in place, his chest heaving violently, sweat soaking through his clothes. But his eyes brimmed with the joy and pride of victory: "I am Li An, a man who won't be taken down by you so easily!"
