Chapter 388: This Trouble Is Big Now
"So many pirate ships—this is trouble now." Nami frowned, a flicker of unease passing through her eyes. She quickly calculated the power gap between both sides, knowing this would be a hard fight.
The Haizeilian Alliance's ships gradually drew near, surrounding them completely. A massive flagship slowly moved to the front, where a burly pirate stood at the bow, wearing a tattered captain's hat, a long scar stretching from his eye to his mouth, making him look especially terrifying.
"Listen up, you lot!" the Haizeilian Alliance's leader bellowed, his voice echoing like a bronze bell across the sea. "Hand over the treasure you found, or join our alliance—or don't expect us to be gentle!"
Luffy immediately jumped up, clenching his fists and roaring: "Dream on! We worked too hard to find this treasure—we're not giving it to you bastards! If you want to fight, we're not afraid!"
The leader's face darkened instantly. He glared fiercely at Luffy, teeth gritted: "Fine. Since you refuse the cup of wine and choose the cup of punishment, don't blame me for being ruthless! Men, attack!"
At the leader's command, members of the Haizeilian Alliance leapt from their ships, charging toward theirs. Some swung great swords, others fired muskets, shouting vulgar curses—all chaos.
"Everyone, be careful!" Li An shouted, swiftly opening his system to analyze the enemies' attack patterns. His fingers slid rapidly across the virtual screen, his gaze focused and calm.
Sanji charged forward first, three swords whirling in his hands with fierce momentum; each slash sent a blade wind that knocked back approaching pirates. His eyes were icy, like a death god from hell, every movement brimming with power and killing intent.
"Three-Sword Style: Ghost Slash!" Sanji roared, spinning rapidly as his three swords merged into a massive crescent-shaped blade aura that slashed through the pirate crowd. Where the aura passed, pirates screamed and fell, blood staining the sea.
Nami used her Weather Stick to create various weather effects to disrupt the enemy. She muttered incantations as the Weather Stick constantly changed shape—sometimes shooting bolts of lightning, sometimes summoning gales that blew pirates off their feet.
"Hmph, you're too green to cause trouble on my turf!" Nami shouted, manipulating the Weather Stick with pride. Her eyes sparkled with confidence, utterly unlike the greedy little girl she usually was.
Luffy charged through the pirate crowd like a wild beast. His body, rubbery and stretchable, sent several pirates flying with every strike. A grin of excitement lit his face, as if this battle were merely a fun game.
"Rubber Machine Gun!" Luffy rapidly extended and retracted his arms like a machine gun, pummeling pirates with his fists, thudding heavily. The pirates had no way to fight back and fell, begging for mercy.
Guo Yao refused to be left behind. Though she lacked strong combat ability, her support skills proved vital. She ran back and forth on the ship, providing all kinds of aid to her comrades. Her eyes brimmed with worry and concern, yet she forced herself to stay calm, cheering everyone on.
