Chapter 400: You Were Used by Aizen

"Ulquiorra, you are merely Aizen's pawn." Li An suddenly shouted loudly. Ulquiorra heard these words, his heart jolted, and his attack hesitated slightly. "What did you say?" Ulquiorra asked coldly.

"I say, you have been used by Aizen." Li An said while dodging Ulquiorra's attacks. "Aizen sent you to stop me; he must have his own purpose." Ulquiorra frowned; although he had no doubt whatsoever about Aizen's orders, Li An's words still caused a flicker of doubt in his heart.

"Hmph, stop trying to sow discord here." Ulquiorra snorted coldly and continued launching attacks against Li An. But his attacks clearly lacked the momentum from before; the doubt in his heart had affected his strength to a certain extent.

Li An sensed the change in Ulquiorra, and joy rose in his heart. He knew his words had taken effect. Seizing the opportunity, he intensified his assault and launched a final attack against Ulquiorra.

"Kidō #91: Senju Kōten Tai!" Li An shouted loudly, and countless white light arrows condensed in his hands, shooting toward Ulquiorra. Ulquiorra's expression changed drastically; he quickly mobilized his spiritual pressure to form a defensive barrier before him.

"Boom!" The light arrows struck the defensive barrier heavily, erupting in a violent explosion. Ulquiorra's defensive barrier gradually shattered under the assault of the light arrows, and his body was blasted away by the immense force.

"Pah!" Ulquiorra spat out a mouthful of blood, his eyes filled with shock and unwillingness. He never expected to be defeated by Li An's hand. "You... how can you be so strong?" Ulquiorra said with difficulty.

Li An slowly walked toward Ulquiorra; his eyes held not a shred of victory's joy, only deep exhaustion. "This is not my power alone; it is my persistence in justice that gave me the courage to defeat you," Li An said.

Just then, Li An suddenly sensed a powerful spiritual energy fluctuation coming from Ulquiorra. His heart jolted, and he quickly stepped back several paces. He saw Ulquiorra's body slowly rise, emitting a powerful aura from his person.

"It seems I still underestimated you." Ulquiorra's voice turned cold and filled with killing intent. "In that case, I will unleash my true strength." Speaking thus, Ulquiorra's body began to change; his wings grew even larger, and the black spiritual pressure became even more dense.

Li An's countenance grave; he knew Ulquiorra was about to launch his final attack. He took a deep breath, mobilized all his spiritual power, and prepared to meet Ulquiorra's assault.

"Resurrección!" Ulquiorra shouted loudly, and his body instantly transformed into a massive black monster, emitting boundless dark aura from its form. It opened its huge mouth and sprayed a black beam of light toward Li An.

Li An's eyes sharpened; he quickly mobilized his spiritual power to form a sturdy defensive barrier before him. "Boom!" The black beam struck the defensive barrier heavily; the immense force made the barrier tremble violently, and Li An's body was pushed back several meters by this impact.

"This power..." Li An marveled inwardly; Ulquiorra's power after Resurrección was actually so immense. He knew he must go all out, otherwise he might truly die here today.
