Chapter 410: Need to Think of a Way

~4 min read 656 words

Guo Yao stood off to the side, watching everything nervously. Her hands were clasped tightly together, her knuckles white from the strain. "Li An, you have to succeed," she prayed silently, her eyes filled with worry and concern.

Just as Li An and the formation were locked in a stalemate, the formation suddenly changed. The lines that had been flashing blue began to twist and warp, and beams of black light shot out from within, rushing toward Li An.

Li An's eyes narrowed, and he swiftly dodged sideways. The black light grazed the hem of his clothing as it flew past, leaving deep gouges in the ground behind him. He grew wary in his heart, realizing that this formation not only possessed powerful defensive capabilities but could also attack on its own.

"Looks like I can't keep brute-forcing it like this, I need to think of a way." Li An thought to himself, beginning to circle the formation slowly, trying to find a flaw. His gaze was fixed tightly on the formation, not missing a single detail.

Suddenly, Li An noticed a corner of the formation where a flash of light flickered slightly oddly. His heart stirred, and without hesitation he charged toward that direction. Just as he approached that corner, the formation attacked again, countless beams of black light shooting toward him from all sides.

Li An's figure flashed, weaving through the black light. His speed was extreme, and the black light nearly all flew past grazing his body. However, one beam still struck his shoulder, his body faltering slightly, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.

"Li An!" Guo Yao couldn't help crying out at the sight. She wanted to rush over, but was held back by Kuchiki Rukia.

"Don't be rash, if you go over you'll only get in the way," Kuchiki Rukia said coldly.

Guo Yao clenched her teeth, able only to stand in place, watching Li An anxiously. Her eyes were brimming with tears, her heart filled with self-reproach and worry.

Li An wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, a flash of fierce resolve crossing his eyes: "It's not over yet!" He took a deep breath, mobilizing all the spiritual power within him, and hurled it with full force toward that flaw in the formation.

With a tremendous roar, a crack appeared in that corner of the formation. Li An's heart leaped with joy — he knew he had found the key to breaking the formation. Without hesitation he attacked again, the crack growing larger and larger, until finally the entire formation began to tremble violently.

Just then, a powerful suction force suddenly surged out from within the formation, pulling Li An inside.

"Li An!" Guo Yao and Kuchiki Rukia cried out at the same time.

Li An felt only darkness before his eyes, his body seeming to be torn apart by countless forces. He clenched his teeth, struggling to stay conscious. In the darkness, he saw countless runes and lines dancing around him, as if trying to tell him the secrets of this formation.

Li An focused his mind and began to decipher these runes and lines. Information flashed ceaselessly through his mind, and those originally complex puzzles seemed to become clear in that instant. A smile gradually appeared at the corner of his mouth — he knew he had found the method to break the formation.

Suddenly, Li An felt a flash of light before his eyes, and realized he had already returned to the outside of the formation. And the formation had now stopped trembling, its light gradually dimming.

"I did it!" Li An shouted excitedly.

The moment his voice fell, a powerful surge of spiritual power erupted from within his body, and light blazed brilliantly around him. His spiritual power level began to skyrocket, breaking straight through from the edge of an Advanced Wanderer to the mid-stage of Advanced Wanderer..
