Chapter 450: Time to Rest a While
After the evening banquet ended, the students returned to their respective dormitories one after another. The Gryffindor dormitory was located in a tower of the castle, and one had to pass through a spiral staircase to reach it. The walls of the staircase were hung with portraits of Gryffindor heroes, whose gazes seemed to watch every student passing by.
Li An and Guo Yao arrived at their dormitory. The room was furnished with four comfortable beds, each covered with a quilt of alternating red and gold. In the corner of the room there was also a fireplace, with warm flames burning inside.
"Finally I can rest a bit." Guo Yao lay on the bed, stretched, and said.
Li An walked to the window and looked out at the night sky. The stars twinkled with faint light, interweaving with the silhouette of the castle to form a beautiful picture. "Tomorrow the magic courses begin—I wonder what difficulties we'll run into," he murmured to himself.
Just then, a gust of cold wind blew past, and the window creaked with a "squeak." An ominous premonition suddenly welled up in Li An's heart, and he instinctively clenched his fists.
"What's wrong, An?" Guo Yao noticed Li An's odd state and asked with concern.
Li An turned his head, forcing a faint smile: "Nothing, probably just too tired. Let's rest early."
Sunlight streamed through the colorful stained-glass windows of Hogwarts castle, spilling into the ancient and solemn magic classroom. The air was filled with a faint magical scent, mingled with the smell of parchment, ink, and herbs, as if telling countless mysterious stories.
"Today, we will learn advanced techniques of Apparition." The magic professor's voice echoed through the classroom, a hint of anticipation for the lesson showing in his eyes.
Hermione's hand shot up almost instantly; excitement sparkled in her eyes, and a confident smile spread across her face: "Professor, I know! Apparition requires precise control of intent and a keen perception of space, and before Apparating one must ensure the destination is safe…" Her voice was crisp and clear, every word brimming with love and familiarity for magical knowledge.
Li An raised his brow slightly, the corner of his mouth curving into a faint smile. He lightly twirled the wand in his hand, and a detailed analysis of Apparition provided by the system flashed rapidly through his mind. He stood up and said unhurriedly: "Professor, Hermione is quite right. But from another angle, using the principles of certain special energy fluctuations in the Comprehensive Anime World, one can locate Apparition coordinates more precisely, thereby greatly increasing the success rate and speed of Apparition…" His voice was steady and confident, carrying a unique charm.
The classmates' gazes shifted back and forth between Li An and Hermione, and the atmosphere in the classroom instantly grew tense. This was not the first time they had engaged in an intense contest of knowledge in class—every clash left the students wide-eyed.
